One question: sure one can get a remote job or create a remote business, but what about getting visas and immigration status? The DR governments gives visas for high passive incomes and pensions, but not for high remote salaries, so I'm told this door is closed unless one is a citizen of the DR or the spouse of a citizen or whatever (or of course, has the necssary passive income, which most young people don't have)

The average Dominican living and working in the US (not yet a US Citizen) sends about $300 USD or more to DR a month to help their families and/or support investment there The US in home to almost 3 Million Dominicans (not including their children born in the US) If you the do math, that is a lot of money that americans can do business with with Dominicans in the US and in DR if they make the right business investment Over 65 of foreign investment in DR comes from the USA Tourism is the main draw to DR as a visiter and investment On the brightside, DR is much safer than Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and for sure, Mexico when it comes to making business and crime The bottom line is that DR is making possible for new American entrepreneurs to experience success abroad
