Dr Willingha, do you have any citations for some of those researchers who were bridging that gap properly as you spoke of? I'd love to do some further reading Comment from : @pyromusicman21 |

Great work, Prof Willingham, I'd like to add that what you said applies to the neurosciences in general, not just to education Reductionism in science and neuroscience is a plague and at times it gets to a comical level Thank you for addressing this important issue Keep up the good work (and posting videos)! I think theories complete one another!! whatever can help to learn is welcome!! Comment from : @angelicamoreno8932 |

Dear Professor Willingham In this video you tell us that brain-research cannot tell us how to teach However, in your book "Why don't students like school", you do exactly thatbrPlease explain Comment from : @oakbellUK |

Cool, thanks
Sorry for the random question, just a lot of noise out there to get through Comment from : @jwkelley |

I don't think dyslexia is a myth
Comment from : @dbw8m |
|
|
You mention some professors that seem to be heavily involved with dyslexia I was wondering, coming from the stance of someone who is exposing learning styles myth, d you have a stance on dyslexia since many people seem to consider a myth also? Comment from : @jwkelley |

This"brain based" business is a money making fad Education is, unfortunately, susceptable to one fad after another "Brain based" sounds very good, but it is just chit chat and repackaging of things repeated before Behavior and the basic principles of behavior should be the focus Teachers (and trainers) can not see the brain, neurons, etc they *can* see attendance to instruction, accuracy, and other forms of behavior, the *can* manipulate material, consequences, and antecedents Comment from : @BfSkinnerPunk |

@gbleem Couldn't agree with you more :( This is totally a garage-band, funded-out-of-pocket enterprise, so my mic is lousy Comment from : @dbw8m |
|
|
It's really sad that the sound is so bad The Angry Filmmaker says that sound is more important than the visuals Comment from : @gbleem |

I find this video a learning exeriance, now watch me type a really long comment about something off topic I would say that you are still reading but what would the point be in saying that when i know you still are, and i like that fact that some one got bored enough to read this xD
I find it helpful at times like these to say that your true fear is, POkeMON!! Comment from : @CBRN_Simplified |

|
@ctskelly true but sometimes it's hard when you got substantial reason to say something instead of trying to be politically correct it's easy to come off too boldly Comment from : @Thrashaero |

I found the video interesting and as a teacher who is using a "whole brain teaching" approach, I totally agree that it is the behavior we have to look at I have had much better behavior, focused attention and I think the use of as many senses as possible targets all the different learning styles You might debate whether there is actually more learning taking place, but IMO, you can't learn what you aren't attending to, so it stands to reason that there is Comment from : @Parlante4ever |

For helping educators distinguish between "educashin" and "education" - thank you Comment from : @PamHook |
