At my job we recently brought back an employee I supervise who had left several months earlier for another job making more money Ultimately they were unhappy and my boss suggested seeing if they were interested in coming back, which I thought was a good idea, and my boss offered her more money to close the deal Now this person who I supervise makes 90 of what I do, and I’m not sure how to ask for a raise that makes this pay relationship more equitable Thoughts?

I once asked for a raise 3 months later, and they let me go Fast forward 1 year later, that same employer tried re hiring me because he couldn't find a decent replacement I interviewed again this time I asked for double what I initially asked for, lol I ended up working for a much better company with a way better salary I've been here for 3 years and loving it! Especially the constant yearly raises 😊
