It really depends on your goals ETFs are more flexible for trading throughout the day, while index funds are more hands-off and better for long-term investors who want simplicity Personally, I think index funds are perfect for retirement because they’re low-maintenance and have consistently performed well over time Comment from : @Liamphotos |

I sometimes use my ETFs to buy dividend and growth stocks for diversification instead of reinvesting in the same place To each their own methods though The good thing is that you’re investing in the first place and that’s what’s important Salute for the content! Comment from : @kortyEdna825 |

I like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or when ever you can afford to This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income Comment from : @NicholasBall130 |
Also, many mutual funds include things like bonds and foreign stock Index funds don't Comment from : @gregbooth123 |

Rose, thanks for your thoughts I've been a long term Vanguard Index fund investor—going on 40 years ETFs have another advantage: If you are not a US citizen and don't have access to Vanguard (and other) index funds, you can buy ETFs through a broker Also, it is possible with brokerage accounts such as Interactive Brokers (IBKR) to set up periodic purchases or dividend reinvestments with ETFs Comment from : @jeremiahreilly9739 |

As a passive investor, is it wise to buy market tracking index funds and ETFs from companies like Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street, even when they're at all time highs? i want to invest around 600k for retirement Comment from : @RusuSilva |
I'm so happy I discovered you Thank you, Rose Han Comment from : @maymahanateetum |
Hi Rose,brI love your video, especially the comparison of index fund and Etf's, that index fund let you continue to make regular contributions without making the purchase with fee cost, and less risky than Etf's for not having option to buy and sell which may cause your gambling temptation, as you explain brThank you so much All the best to you Comment from : @donho8610 |

The market trend can turn around very quickly In fact, the indexes often switch from a bear market to a bull market when the news is at its worst and the mood of investors is at its lowest point I read an article of people that grossed profits up to $150k during this crash, what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist? Comment from : @myrle-v4g |

Could you make a video on index fund investment minimum brReason I'm asking at my Job I have a 401k its Roth I make around $19 an hour br I'm in 3 index fundsbrOne fund is a retirement fund with a investment minimum of 1,000 The other two funds are minimums of 3 million and 5 million brI feel like I shouldn't be in those last two like I feel like if I check out ETF s that would be a WAY better move for me price wise? Comment from : @billphillyc7184 |
I've heard that index funds and ETFs provide diversified stock market exposure while spreading risk I have over $800K in savings; What's the most effective strategy to allocate funds in my portfolio and generate profits? Comment from : @shellylofgren |

Thank you so much! Investing a lot of money in Vanguard is easier because of you!!!! Comment from : @hunterubilla1497 |
If you reinvest, do you buy index funds at current price or original price? Comment from : @afaintmemory |
Thank you for sharing, this was really helpful! You also made it easy to understand for beginners like myself : ) One additional difference between index fund and ETF, index fund can only trade after market and cost more taxes, but ETF can be trade throughout the day and cost less tax But I do also agree that ETF does make it harder not to sell when you see a dip in the stock market (I fell for that many times), so Index fund might actually be the better option! Comment from : @skywalker7589 |
