I sold my card like a week before they steal all the cards from North America right when I was ready to buy an R9 290 at 430$ and now it's like 530-600$! and that's when you get to find 1-2 in stocks no way I'll get an overpriced GTX 780

I'm a gamer who just started mining too Win win for me I bought AMD for GCN to maximise mantle when it comes and I happened to buy a card I can mine on too when I'm not playing games? Why buy nvidia? It doesn't have any real advantage anymore except g-sync and slightly better single thread processing G-sync is pretty cool but multi-thread is just about to become the norm through 2014 and AMD pwns that

AMD is making money I guess but it probably would've been better for them to have made the msrp for hawaii closer to the 600-650 range The cards would've sold regardless and they aren't really getting market share amongst gamers anyway

Bought my Gigabyte R9 280X Windforce for £245 from OcUK The same card is now £300! I'm betting the prices are only going to get higher! Soon i'll be able to sell my 280X at a profit and buy a new GTX 780 at this rate :D

Funny you should bring this topic up I just sold my 2 7950s for $375 each thanks to this LiteCoin mining craze I replaced them with 290s before the stock dried up for just a few bucks more
