@stephenquandt6508
If it's a part for a nuclear submarine you aren't going to be able to see it, it's called security for a reason
Comment from : @stephenquandt6508

@Saga_Studios
People are complaining about how they didn't show the part and here is probably why---I work currently for a Machine shop that Machines Weapon Parts while I am in school getting my CNC Degree at My factory it is a Federal Crime to take these parts of course but also to Record and take picture of certain parts and blueprints and share them some of our parts are even tracked by the ATF and Government and some of our machines can not even be moved unless you contact the US Government and the Government of the Machines country of origin first or they will shut down and lock them selves up and that just Weapons parts so i can imagine they can hardly talk about the part sense its Military related

@saabysaabinsky2785
Wonder what the profit margin is on making a 50-million dollar part? Probably can buy a few new nifty machines!

@fairybeliever4479
WTH was the point of this video? br50 million dollar part? brI call BS on thisbrI have worked for a company that machined parts for submarinesbrThe material was really tough to machine brAlso very expensivebrBut to machine anything that gets to the cost of 50m That part must be very complex and huge
Comment from : @fairybeliever4479

@krisalan5327
I run a cnc lathe and have turned monel material before, but when i watch your videos, i feel silly referring to myself as a machinist, lol😂

@jagracershoestring609
We used to machine Monel Radar Waveguides, so I know how tough the material is to machine We also machined the core components of Polaris Submarines, on manual machine tools Two tenths of a thou limits I did the inspection, and quality sign-offs No Co-ordinate measuring machines in those days either I, in more recent years machined a section of the Cern Large Hadron Collider, interesting work brings out the best in people doesn't it
Comment from : @jagracershoestring609

@wattson4051
Engine machinist here, I started working on the industry right out of school about a year and a half ago, my most nerve racking experience was doing a full valve job and port on a $8,000 set of big block heads, making sure everything was the same and even was my biggest concern
Comment from : @wattson4051

@MyCraft_01
I don’t do metal CNC work, but I do do wood CNC work, and I’m overall fascinated with CNC’s in general and love your guys channel and work It’s always been a huge inspiration to me, and I’m constantly pushing the boundaries of what me and my machines can do in my wood shop!

As a retired machinist/toolmaker/programmer I can say that, after 50 years in the biz, by far the worst material I have ever worked with was Monel It is super tough and "sticky" as well, lol

@ThomasTomiczek
Elon Musk would say whoever designed that has a high idiot coefficient (done part / material cost - not saying you are the idiots, but this requires a LOT of redesigning to get the costs down, such as they did with the Raptor engine with a like 80 cost reduction over time
Comment from : @ThomasTomiczek
