My daughter got a 2001 tundra other than ball joints its been great!!! Comment from : Clinton Doner |
Very very true Most people do not push the v8 hard all the time and tend to take off by the sound emitted by a loud v8 but throw in a super quiet v6 turbo and you start to accelerate like Mario Andretti all the time because there is no noise, just smooth quiet power, so after a while you realize there is not much better fuel milage But I am not a kid anymore but love the quiet smooth ness of the turbo v6 But knowing the longevity of a v8, I would rather have a v8 knowing the engine is more reliable and will last longer Comment from : Spec1 |
dude’s a genius… er… well Comment from : Kevin |

$60,000 for a used truck is absolute insanity Comment from : Jason Spencer |
Owned 6 toyota trucks and each truck since 1987 has deteriorated in quality since Todays toyota trucks are paper thin soda cans with the most cheapest plastic garbage interiors guaranteed to scratch, their chassis are weka rubber twisty junk the brakes are garbage the engine is loud and just not the quality it once was, the rear third brake light gasket leaks and there is a recall for that, the trucks can't carry much The transmission is a sloth with a habit of climbing to highest gears no matter what speed you are at that transmission wants to be in sixth gear vibrating away the throttle is not balanced correctly not smooth at all like driving a twisted rubber band Stick with Chevy RAM GMC Comment from : K |
I thought you said you would die before you’d buy a tundra!! Comment from : djphx0001 |
The only nice looking part of that truck are the rims 60k for a used truck that looks like it’s straight out of 2009 😂 Toyota fanboys are a different breed of stupid Comment from : Drew Burgess |
What do you think of the 2024 models 👍✌️🇨🇦🇺🇸 Comment from : G T K |

Have a 07 limited tundra , been in the family since 09 best truck ever never gave a single issue except for the radiator of course it’s got 260k miles now and runs like a beauty pulls like it did when it was younger and everything held up amazingly This truck was used for its built purpose, towing excavators every other week enjoying the truck of course, maintenance and upkeep is key Comment from : Kholi Chad |
MAKE A 2500HD Comment from : Colin Durant |
I can not help but wonder how many decades did it finally took Scotty to admit TOYOTA are awesome!!!! and yes will last forever with minimal $$$ 😂 Comment from : Ghengis Khan 58 x 42 |
That truck is not better than my Diesel F-350 The Ford is a real work truck, that can tow and haul real stuff Im sure the tundra is a good truck but ive never seen one towing 20k lbs mine has 250k miles and pulls over 20k lbs daily Comment from : Jibril the great |

I’m with you all the way If you don’t want a gas guzzler DON’T buy a big engine I upgraded from a Tacoma TRD to a Tundra TRD/Sport for towing my toys, no disappointment for gasoline-engine Any bigger job, I head for diesel! Comment from : yajcaivplawv88 |

I have a 2001 V6 Camry in our garage and a 2000 Sienna is in there too Just a few years ago I gave a 96 4 cyl, 2 door Camry and an 84 Tercel SR5 to a friend of mine that needed a car These Toyota's just keep going The only Toyota I've had that had any problems was an 88 Celica Turbo Alltrac Replaced the turbo once under warranty, 2nd time bad I gave up and said goodbye I bought it when I got orders to Germany It was a great car on the autobon Maybe I was too hard on the turbo Comment from : Rick Hedden |
Y’all like the 46 or 57? I have found deal on a 2014 tundra 46 and hoping it is reliable and lasts Comment from : Dan Wesson |
I really wish this guy would’ve bought the newer version and tried it out As far as I can research toyota has fixed virtually any faults with the new trucks It’s not like anything will have zero issues if it’s mechanical it can fail Comment from : Jacob Edson |

They Even, Hyped the Twin Turbo V6, saying Close to 30 mpg Toyta Makes Excellent products, but they fell on their face on this one and Stained their Reputation for a long Time; only redeemable, by bringing back a refined 57, and match Fords Gas Milage They know how to do it!!!, its called Reverse Engineering Shame on you Toyota, from this Toyota Tacoma Owner You screwed this up big Time Get back To the Drawing Board, get it together!!!! Comment from : Eugene Gress |
I bought my 2021 Lunar Rock in March of 2021 right when the semiconductor shortage started I was lucky enough to get the truck for MSRP at 55K Two years later I have 25K miles on it and still love it as much as the first day I bought it Comment from : Loy Towse |
I'd like to get an older tundra with the double cab, 8 foot bed and a camper shell (roll down back glass for the dog) but I live in the mountains of VA It'd cost about 20 dollars to drive to town and back with current gas prices Gorgeous trucks though Comment from : Toobin Andsuch |
Bought my Tundra crew cab in 2004 now has over 270000 miles, never had any major work done Runs great but looks well used It’s a truck! Had a lot of extras and can pull our RV trailer Why buy a new one Still get the same 17mpg Comment from : John17:3 |
Not true, the 23 tundra is way better in gas than the 21 especially after it's broken in Now that have upgrades that not only give the 23 tundra more power and TQ but also better gas milage as well, so it's a win win Comment from : Artemus Burton |
I love Toyota trucks Comment from : Collin Gray |
I watched this video 5 months ago I bought a Tundra 4 months ago Its still the best truck ever Comment from : PoeBoys |
Lucky bastard!! 😁😁 Comment from : Siviu Native |
IMO they ruined the Tundra I think it looks kinda cool but they should've kept the 57 as an option atleast Comment from : Coyote Life |
When i sold my 2007 it had 248,000 miles and cranked immediately every time and would easily fry the tires There's a guy here in Louisiana who famously drove his Tundra over 1 million miles Toyota traded him a brand new tundra for it so they could analyze and study it, I believe it was an 08 or 09 with the 47 v8 Comment from : Coyote Life |
Manwhen I first heard they were doing away with the V8 I said I wish I had a million dollars to just buy up as many Tundra's as I could Comment from : You don’t even own a suit! |

I got a 2019 Tundra TRD PRO in voodoo blue… got it new for 48k in 2019 I have 34k miles in as of March 23 It’s such a good truck Yes it gets terrible gas mileage (16mpg) but like that guy I got mine to keep I get cash offers from the Toyota dealerships for more than I paid new just about every time I take it for service The only issue it has is a creaking noise when going slow over bumps… turns out it’s the skid plates flexing against the frame Apparently you can get polyurethane bushings installed and it will fix the issue Will be doing that here soon Comment from : will cruz |
Toyota’s warranty is impeccable I got one of these v8s under a 48 month ultra-warranty with almost any failure covered including the big stuff, for $60 a month If my engine fails I just put down $200 and they got the rest Comment from : Jake Armstrong |

nobodys wife is perfect!brbrTundra gas mileage is not the greatest, i would rather pay extra fuel money, before i drive a Ford, (thanks Scotty Kilmer) i drive a 14 problem free Honda Ridgeline but, you will never caught me with used ole lydia in a Ford pick up truck, my next work truck is a Toyata Tundra with a 8 foot box with that Toyota's finest V8 engine Comment from : Briggs Didnotstrapem |
