in australia we are taxed 10GST on anything lower than 99 pure and why buy slabbed proof AGE when their is a 51 chance of a rust spot developing over time Think of all those ASE which are gauranteed to decay overtime, silver is a reactive metal its sole reason is to go from white to black in colour if you want quality you gotta pay for it , if you want scarcity you gotta pay for it Why would i buy junk silver like any modern silver coin when i can own what king tut ,stalin , hitler thought was impressive ???

I purchase proofs directly from the mint There are several advantages They are more difficult to counterfeit because they use polished blanks that are double struck Double struck coins have edge features hard to counterfeit There are far fewer and they do have numismatic value contrary to this video They are more attractive If the government wanted to confiscate gold exceptions would likely be made for numismatic items and proofs would qualify I have been collecting coins for 50 years and I know a thing or two

I think as an investor it doesn’t make much sense to buy anything other than BU I’ve spoke to precious metal dealers, they’ll tell you that proof like won’t get you anymore when it comes to selling to them As an emotional investment and to buy purely for your own enjoyment I’d agree that proof like coins are very nice to have for your own pleasure

I agree it's not worth it I buy strictly for weight now that American Gold proof coin you got is beautiful but for investing buy for weight but ur personal preference for keeping your personal collection if you like proof coins by the proof coin cuz that American Gold Eagle is gorgeous! But when you go to sell them they go strictly by weight and karat so the smart buy would be 1 oz pure 999 gold coin or bar but by what makes ya happy lol NICE COLLECTION!
