i wish you gave more details i have no idea how you are closing those contracts Are you using sell to close? Usually you have to sell your share to the contract seller in order to receive gains in this case your not showing what your doing to sell the contracts You needs to include more details

Thank you for this video, if I place a put option on Starbucks knowing it’s going to hit 80$ and it’s currently at 99$ but I’m not sure exactly when it will hit the 80$ mark Should I place my put for an amount higher than 80$ in this case 86$ Also, if I get a put for December 30 for the price to hit 80$ and it reaches there before that date is that a gain? What goes up will come down; what goes down will go down further So be careful if you are buying calls By the way, I think in the long run, shorting options is going to make you money not long
