I have a few graded coins I did get my 2022 Congratulations Set Eagle graded only to have proof of the set that Eagle came from Comment from : @walterallard7280 |

not all modern coins should be graded, some very low mintage highly collectible coins have every right to be gradedbrdoes that guarantee the coins will go up in value nope Nor does it guarantee how collectible they will be brits a gamble and if someone wants to pay to have them graded its totally up to them Comment from : @dvvaughn564 |

I take a mixed approach I want grades on some coins some coins so that I know what I have when its time to sell or trade That is because I am not very good at looking at a coin and trying to match up a grading guideline with what I see on the coin and guess at the grade Price also determines what I buy If I can buy a graded coin at a price that is close to the raw cost I will go with the graded coin I do not buy graded bullion coins unless the label is something I find attractive I do pay extra for a label or a signature I have not sent any coins to PCGS or NGC but might do so in the near future Comment from : @sfkimrush |

I’m possibly switching to graded next year brThe mints quality and pricing is my reason Comment from : @953dave |

I like my modern coins slabbed, it looks nicer and can be kept together in a box neatly I'll throw away the boxes as they take up too much space in my opinion Comment from : @jimilee7618 |

I only grade coins with future value Comment from : @kcnthebay1369 |

70's are perfection but 69's are much cheaper Comment from : @celticknot5678 |

The slab verifies what condition a modern is If you crack out 5 MS-70 2021 Morgans they’re all sell at the ungraded price at around 200 to 225 If they’re in 70 slabs as proof that they’ve been verified by the TPGs as being 70s they might go for 3 to 400 a piece Crack them out 200 Because nobody knows what they are They could be 70s They’re more likely 69s or less So people will pay less not knowing This is just how it works and what people like The TPGs wouldn’t get back logged for months if people weren’t sending gobs of coins in Comment from : @grantv2313 |

VintagebrI can see grading a vintage coin, at least you can see it's current statebrAs far as new coins, the premiums and the cost of grading makes it hard to justify Comment from : @hynestimothy411 |

I collect slab Morgan and peace silver dollars I collect world silver coins and I Collect 1/10 ounce gold coins I like collecting slab coins Because when I get ready to sell To a dealer There is no argument about what the Mint state Grade is Comment from : @rickledford2953 |

I'm a beginner and I don't know anything about slabsbrBut I find that an old coin in a slab has much more class than a modern coin Comment from : @NCstacker |

You know my feelings on modern coin grading Not a fan I'm barely a fan of classic coin grading lol Comment from : @SalivateMetal |

I buy graded vintage coins that are a reasonable price, as far as newer coins it depends on the coin if i buy a graded coin it need to be a higher grade and a desirable coin Comment from : @jeffshaw4039 |

Another thing that gets me, is paying a higher price from the mint than a dealer, with the intent of keeping the coin in original packaging, I risk getting stuck with handling issues, while a deal breaks them out anyway, they get cleaned off and repackaged with the premium grade There should be a premium on coins that have never been roved and handled That's what I learned was part of the point of proof sets, when I was a kid Now, coins being pulled out of packaging and handled or managed, to me is circulation Comment from : @donavonrobbins1908 |

Good Afternoon Wolvie I like some coins graded If it is gradedbrit shows that the coin is not FAKE or Counterfeit I feel if you are brgoing to sell the coins It will be easier to sell the coin For my brregistry set it will need to be graded by PCGS , FB Franklins brI do not buy graded Bullion Coins or send Bullion coins to get brGraded :-)) Comment from : @rockysuperstar1 |

For me it’s part of the process of collecting I enjoy the organic process of buying a coin raw and sending it in to be graded They become mine completely They are preserved and are nice to take out and look at Mostly it’s knowing that I was the one to create it They’re my babies 🙂 Comment from : @smallgroupstacker6669 |

I won't send any of my proofs for grading don't care if they're a 69 or 70! At some point I have a few Susan B Anthonys I will be getting graded yes, it will cost me more than what they are worth, but I've had these coins for 42 years and I want them protected and after that if I find really really nice coins I'll probably send more in! I don't really want to buy any graded ones because hunting is much more fun! Comment from : @cgcoins3639 |

I think it's a waste of money to have modern coins graded unless you are getting an error coin verified I prefer keeping my coins in the OPG Comment from : @robertstroback3362 |

Good Afternoon SW!🥤 I am lukewarm on the subject I will buy slabbed coins without hesitation, but I don't send in raw ones I think human eye grading can be too subjective sometimes But if computers take over, there will be no leeway! One thing I am not lukewarm about!!! PCGS ripped me off by giving my 2019 Reverse Proof ASE a 69!!🤬🤬🤬 Comment from : @georgematthews2877 |
