Just because you are with the 75th doesn’t mean that you’re gonna get so much crazy combat experience I’ve been with plenty of units that are infantry that seem way more and done way more Usually they are an attachment and I love them

Here's what I know Back in the early 70's the only way to become a RANGER was to get through Ranger School by earning a TAB No TAB, you're not considered a RANGER> Additionally in the class my Brother graduated from they had 2 deaths in the Jungle phase in Crestview Florida from hypothermia, the cadre put the bodies in the center of the students and absolutely raised hell with them to show what happens when you do not learn the lesson taughtpeople die as a result When I went thru SEAR school a few years earlier, the cadre were what was LRRP guys out of Vietnam and 1Bn Ranger Instructors along with SF instructors, there was no deferrment from training like weather temperature, throw you asses into a wall locker buried in the ground for 35 hours or knock you around I have nothing but respect for TAB Holders but the lay of the land changed because of training fatalities to a kinder gentler course Basic @ FtPolk in Tiger Town was as brutal as it gets, all long gone now but worth the investment overall

Wrong "Ranger Qualified" is a fiction perpetuated by some batt boys and liberal democrats As per the US Army Ranger Association, Ranger Training Brigade, and a former CSM of the Regiment, Ranger School graduates are Rangers just as much as members of the Regiment Someone in the Regiment who doesn't have a Tab can still be called a Ranger, but in no way are the only "real Rangers" the soldiers in the Regiment

How is RASP different from RIP/ROP in terms of preparation and training? How do you get to Ranger school if you're not going to be in the 75th? Do you still have to go through RASP as well? Ranger school is so important, I believe every green beret should be required to have a Ranger tab BEFORE attending SF A&S But what the hell do I know? Rangers lead the way and SF are the GOATs!!!

That's easy to answer I was a tabbed Ranger from 3/75 from 92-96 Ranger School is just a school Ranger bn is a way of life You also train for a lot of special operations missions that they don't teach at the school Why do you think they are the only ones Delta uses for blocking positions? No one is better at that

Another big difference: the Ranger Tab says with you regardless of any future unit that you serve in The 75th Ranger Scroll can only be worn if when you are assigned to the regiment So in many ways, the tab is worth more than the scroll since it is a permanent award Let the fireworks startnow!
