I had a crown done differently than the tooth under it being shaped to a nub and the crown on top My original tooth was too chipped for them to make a stubbed so they shave down my old tooth to the gum and they put a stem screw inside and the crown on top of that This was 5 years ago and it literally just came out yesterday while I was eating Now I have a crater type tooth inside my gums with a tiny hole from the screw and I need it fixed can they just clean it and fill it with this type of fill do I have to get it pulled and get an implant? I need something done now to buy myself time I'm going to need an implant and I don't know what to do

Have had Chipped 2 front teeth for years The dentist I went to this week repaired them exactly like this I can finally smile I should done it years ago She was very honest too saying the teeth i had would maybe not be strong enough for crowning so she recommended this procedure very happy I was wondering why she did it in stages now I know

The problem is that most dentists just want to yank the tooth I have a tooth that the back side of the tooth broke off at the gum line, and they don't want to fix it Keep pushing the implant I eventually found a dentist who was willing to fill it Just wish more dentists would give this a shot before just pulling the tooth

I have a question, in dental school we usually have casts of our patients and when they break a tooth, we can use the cast we have as a mold to fix their tooth But in private practice a patient will walk in and you don’t have a cast for them So in complex fractures, do you still wing it how you did here?brbrIt looks absolutely beautiful by the way!

hi so for the last 4 years i have had my back tooth broken off a bit its only the edge and the filling is still there it dosent hurt i can chew on it but im getting it fixed in august i searched in google and i think only the enamel is broken off im not expert but beacause its only the corner there is no inside of the tooth showing thats why its not hurting how serius is it i had old dentist check it out she was saying get it fixed as soon as possible meanwhile others says its not that serius

Hello Michael I am also Michael I have two chipped teeth in front and not quite as bad as this tooth in video I have been to three dentists and each one had a treatment plan that was progressively more costly and invasive than the last They refuse to bond them, saying it will just pop off I live in Chicago Any guidance you can offer? Should I really be concern about this?brbr(EDIT) To add on, the toothache that occurred on my molar also seems to be the molar that I had a dental filling YEARS ago (about 6-7 years) There is also a small dark brown colour line or some sort of dash (something like this: - ) next to the old dental filling brbr2 Another thing is, I had a composite dental filling past mid September and after the filling, I experienced high sensitivity to coldness I did ask my dentist about it and he said its completely normal after a dental filling for about a week or more However, until now (it's currently the 3rd of December) I'm still experiencing high sensitivity to cold temperatures ON and AROUND the tooth that had the dental filling Should I also be concern with this?

Building bit by bit bc the composite has to properly harden, that's easier by doing it this way Also, shrinkage might occur when composites harden (depending on how many parts ceramic are in the composite) If you do all at once the shrinkage may cause little gaps between the tooth and the filling, and can be the reason for secondary cariesbrI think I will use the video for my students!
