in the 70's and 80's there were no grading company which made coin collecting actually collecting and fun now it is just some bs about a score done by a company it is not about finding the coin in hours of searching through coins, it is just dealing with dealers aka scalpers

That's why you buy coins not holders, the holder doesn't matter unless you collect plastic I buy good coins and cross them over to either PCGS or ANACS, even the big 3 PCGS,NGC and ANACS make mistakes and grade cleaned or counterfeit coins

You just reminded me of several slabbed coins I bought(w/ some other items), a few years back, in one of those "estate" auctions The name is INB on the coins The printing is even faded so badly, I need a magnifying glass to read them Several are marked MS70 I know I didn't pay a lot for them, as I have always been a suspicious person(ex-MIL called me a Philadelphia lawyer because I wouldn't fall for her "jokes") I had even put a note on them that the company overgrades coins

I believe ebay manipulates the feedback You can't post negative feedback to some sellers who are sponsors that pay big commissions to ebay Or they force you to contact the seller before leaving a negative score

Old IGS holders circa 2000 can have some good coins in them There’s a newer IGS slab that’s pretty suspect from what I’ve read Best thing to do if you’re wanting rock solid investment returns is to buy graded from the top tier graded slabs Third party is a mine field

The ads that make me laugh (altho it’s not funny) are the ones for ASE’s for $995 I suppose there are some people who actually buy these fakes, but education helps, with spot silver being at about $25 an ounce nobody sells ASE at $995 This should be common sense

CCCS is very reliable in Canada Not as established as ICCS but I would buy a coin without seeing it if it was in a cccs holder brICCS was at one time very trusted but has slipped in the last few years The old flips with the stamp are bang on everytime

Best thing to do is download there software and scan bar code and and box on back etc depending on what holder version its in and will tell ya what you have beyond the certification number is and can be faked but bar codes and scan box is much harder to fake

Great video I collect ancients, so rely exclusively on NGC grading I didn't realize how prevalent fake NGC slabs are until watching your videos From my perspective there are some VERY realistic looking fake ancients out there - I mean the right metal, the right striking method, the right toning I didn't realize I had to deal with fake NGC slabs too :-(
