Had the same problem with Nationwide, they were quick enough taking over 100k to open an account but a month later when I wanted 4k to fit out our bathroom it was 20 questions what I wanted the money for so I closed the account took out the money and bought a safe and kept the money at homeproblem solved

I've had this The bank told me it was to limit fraud I had basic details of what I needed the money for, money withdrawn, no problem I know many will disagree but Santander showing diligence is a good thing in these fraud ridden days For those who say it's none of their business, well you're wrong They are the custodians of your money in which they are reinvesting your money Annoyance doesn't make you automatically right
