If I pull a nickel with full steps from say, a 1962 or 1964 Philadelphia set (ie, those paper envelope sets), is it still as valuable as pulling a full steps nickel from a BU roll, or does the fact that it came from a Philadelphia mint set, make it common for it to feature the full steps? Fun to collect When I started collecting I put together a full range set of all but the 1936-1942 including all of the silver sets in OGP The reason I haven't collected the early sets is twofold, price and they are hard to find in OGP Price I can deal with but I have to have them in OGP and they just aren't out there at a price i'm willing to pay Have fun collecting them and keep us up to date on your collecting habits as it will be cool to see how they change over time Comment from : @notsonew827 |
|
All the 2012 sets uncirculated, proof and silver proof had historically low production, so their prices are considerably higher in the secondary market Typically I would have purchased them directly from the mint and wouldn't have had to worry about the secondary market, but since I was in Brazil that whole year I was unable to do so Comment from : @CoinMetallurgist |
