Thank you for this video I've been doing belly dance for about a year and struggle with the idea if it's really for me, (even though I love it), as I'm one of the bigger dancers in my class My teacher has been good but there is certain things that she does that makes me feel like I'm not considered as much as smaller ladies in the class Comments about dieting and loosing weight I know she means well but it's a bit deterring

Thank you so much for making this video I'm a plus size girl and have always been amazed with belly dance I recently decided to start trying it but I was embarrassed because of my weight and the fact that up til this point I'd only seen skinny belly dancers But this video gave me the confidence to realize that it doesn't matter what I look like If I want to belly dance I will and I don't care about what anyone has to say about it Btw love, love, love your belly dance lessons Please post more

Seeing those video clips of Dana's performances really drives home the point of this video; she may be bigger, but she looks amazing when she performs and clearly has a high skill level! I think each dancer has his/her own unique talents and advantages with their body types For example, there's one girl I love to watch (Shahrzad) whose belly is soft, not like the "ideal" rock-hard abs, and because of that softness to her belly, she has these incredible rippling shimmies Also there's another girl with a petite bust, but I love her resulting dainty shoulder shimmy When bodies change, so do the movements, and I hope more people can start to appreciate everyone's differences

Yeah that's me!!! I am the saddle bag lady in the bathroom and this super nice lady really helped me, I focus way less on my saddlebags now!
