Very informative video However, I’ve typically only traded long calls/puts So tell me if I understand this correctly, for a stock like AAPL selling a put for $175 your at risk of being assigned shares for $17,000? But at expiry, your profit is still $175 regardless of stock movement? How often does assignment happen on these? Obviously the prices have changed since the date of this video

When you say, "one per cent per week," what number is in the denominator? The numerator is the credit collected, but is the denominator the strike price of the underlying, or is it your total trading capital, or is it only the equity portion of your trading capital, or is it only the cash holding of your trading capital?

Hey, so for example, I like to sell puts on QQQ at 20 delta for 30 expiration I've built a ladder, so each week I have contracts expiring which I typically roll out 30 days a day or two before expiration I'm comfortable with 20 or 25 deltas max Today, Oct 12 2024, looking at QQQ put option expiring in 34 days, Fri Nov 15, in order to get a 2 return I need to sell the 485 strike which is currently bid at $890 with a 37 delta and would yield about 18 for the 34 days Realizing QQQ is bullish right now, therefore premiums depressed a bit, the yield of 2 percent may be a little tough to get If a trader can get consistent good results playing with 37 delta short puts, my hats off to you

I started out selling puts in 2015 with 40K Gradually took it all out and my account now is just under 300K It takes time, instruction (I started with a service), and yes, you will lose some, but it's a learning process I now am very comfortable with it and find it profitable, safe, easy and still marvel at the "experts" (eg Peter Lynch) who try to put the fear of using puts in the rest of us

Everyone who sells the idea of CSP didnt want to talk about the common pitfall of it IF you get assigned AND the stock keeps falling, u are stuck because the Calls u try to sell are worth pennies or zero unless u have more powder to sell CSP on other stocks

It's a stable strategy, but if I sell a $160 put on apple, I should consider $16,000 dollars of my portfolio committed until expiration, right? Even though it's highly unlikely to drop to 160, it still seems like that commits a large amount of capital for a fairly small gain
