"Those under 51!"brbrI'm 49 For years after Decimalisation the old shillings and florins were being used as 5ps and 10ps respectively and I still remember seeing them up to the time the coin sizes changed to their current ones! There's probably people 10-15 years younger than me who have memories of finding some of those in their pocket money!

I suggest that the reduction in mintage numbers of coins featuring him reflects growing public apathy to him I am not a republican by any means, I honestly think the royal family is good for this country but I also believe that Charles being crowned will do major damage to the royal brand

Charles 1st appearance on coins was in 1969 at his investiture as Prince of Wales Charles has remarked on several occasions in the 70's and 80's he was most likely to be George VII Steve 👍👀
