Nice analysis, but I still could never justify buying by any denomination smaller than 1/10 of an oz (and even that's pushing it if we're being honest) The premiums are just too damn high Of course in a historic year like this you'll make your money back, but that's not a realistic expectation to have for every year It just hurts to spend so much when saving up for a bit gets you a lot further

When buying gold or silver I try and do as much research as possible and figure out how much over spot each item is and what is the buy back prices for those items so that if I have to sell anything I won't lose a lot of money or if precious metals go up I can maximize my profits

First don't sell 2nd, the premium is already baked in because the price went up In this test (twice in a year) your 30 grams was lower than spot! 3rd, you will lose more premium on the 1oz gold coun every time because it is harder to sell because so much money is involved
