When you buy old old coin are you stacking or collecting I've just posted my first video suggesting a 2020 Britannia or Maple was a better buy for stackers (savers) than 2025 as premiums are lower and buy back on 2025 coins will fall off in two years so the best spread is to buy what I consider is an old coin, two or four years in circulation

Pawn shops are valuing common, circulated pre-33 gold coins the same as full troy ounce gold bullion coins right now even though they contain less gold by weight than their counterparts Not sure it makes sense to call them the "NEW" gold bullion though?!? I don't think we should be changing definitions of words Sal, especially when it comes to money, value, or investing People will get confused and start generalizing investment products as the same thing when they are not Bullion is defined by Oxford as; 'gold or silver in bulk before coining or valued by weight' Obviously, pre-33 gold coins are not being valued by weight in the market at the current time It's more of a convenience thing for the shops and giving the seller a little more for the numismatic value of the coin I love pre-33 gold but distinguishing between bullion investing and numismatic investing is still important in the marketplace As the old timers who collected coins as kids expire, the market could very well change, and pre-33 coins become worth less than bullion because of the weight difference

With how much pre-33 is and has been melted, survival estimates will have to be re-guestamated if they dare Gold Buffalos and Gold Eagles are amazing and gorgeous bullions coins but pre-33 gold hits me right in my junkie gene

Pre-33 comprises about 25 of my gold oz, though that will lower in 2025 I've got both graded and raw and I'll usually only buy raw at or near their gold value To your point, they can be easily stacked and mine are usually acquired at coin shows (but I've bought a few online) AGE (1 oz and 1/4 oz), Buffs, Maple Leafs are my main target plus a sprinkling of Brits and Krugs Thanks for the video I'll remain an opportunistic buyer of pre-33 gold coins
