I still remember my IBM computer in 1986 with Atari games and joystick with a huge package full of diskates With old epsilon printer Even, the printer was smarter than this late printers It's kind of recipt printer and have a long runway for the cartridge run back and forth to draw a single word ! brIt was a real technology and deserves respect 🙏

They have a remake of River Raid on Switch called Bridge Strike it's a lot of fun and it gets harder the further you get and you can unlock different ships

HERO is my Favorite 2600 Game as well! br Solaris was right up there with HERO Demon Attack was also one of my personal favesbrPete Rose Baseball, Mega Maniac and Moon Patrol are some of my other favorites Pete Rose Baseball being possibly the best team-based Sports game on the 2600/VCS console

Great content brought back so many memories of my childhood There was one game that me and my dad played until our fingers couldn't anymore lol We would just go side to side shooting up and each thing we would shot would change patterns They would be coming down towards us as we was shooting Once we got to the next level they would get faster By chance would you know what game I'm talking?

10:47 Kaboom! plays great emulated on the Wii, you can use the Wii Mote like a paddle well, it works more like balancing the truck in Excite Truck (i finally bought that game)brAlso, i want to add that Pitfall II is my favorite Atari2600 but i give a big shoutouts to River Raid, i have that one pirate on cassettebrfor the Atari 800XL and i played it with my young cousin, the game still holds up great, we competed for high score for hours

I haven't watched your video yet,but I know it's going to be awesome, especially with all the Atari 2600 carts you haveI've been super addicted to collecting Atari 2600 carts probably 7-8 years I think I was this way also the 2 previous wintersThere are so many games to cover, so much games to discover For me I fell in love with the carts,the size of the carts are plam size,the art on each cart is so interesting I also love the orange, blue, purple,red,green titles on each cart I've been trying to organize them alphabetically and arrange them by color 😂 I need to make labels as well Just like your N64 games A good number of my carts,maybe 1/6have no titles or missing cover art So i don't know what games they are by just looking at the cart I have 64 Atari 2600 carts and no boxes brPs I'm curious what carts you have & don't have, I'm comparing what carts I have and what carts I don't have😅🤣

My greatest and most fond memories regarding picking up new games was back in the late 80’s to early 90’s when my parents or more often just me and my Dad would go to Toys R Us Back when they had all the games on the walls with those little paper slips And it was always an awesome feeling grabbing the last available slip for the game you wanted brI can still remember when me and my Dad went to Toys R Us to pick up Zelda II As my Dad was a huge Zelda fan when I was a kid

I don't know what the prices of these carts were in the US back in the day but in the UK it was incredibly epensive to buy carts Asteroids was about £30, some were even more (for some reason I think Defender was more and Star Raiders £49) In today's money about £100-150 per game After 3-4 years we owned about 5 games (saved for with my "PaperBoy" job) The only option was to do swaps for a few months with kids at school I remember swapping my Asteroid cart for Space Invaders brbrI remember also going to a computer fair in 1982 in Manchester and seeing the Imagic stand with the poor guy trying to sell those carts amidst the explosion in ZX/Commodore/BBC games the writing was on the wall for the Atari VCS

I got into Atari just before the video game crash I had a Colleco Gemini The crash was good and bad for me The good thing was that the local pharmacy had a bin full of 2600 games for $1 each The Bad was that there were a lot of games I missed out on because I wasn't sure if I could play them on my system Were they for the 2600 or Intellevision or the Odyssey, 5200, 7800, or the Collecovision? I liked the Parker Brothers game boxes because you didn't have to tear them open to get the game out

No, I never had that one as a kid Never had HERO either, or the Star Wars game Never saw them in the stores When the big game crash happened I remember games being 2 for $1 in huge bins at the drug store Every time we'd go I'd pick out all the games I didn't have When the NES came out I sold the 2600 and all the games I remember telling my mom that one Super Mario Bros is worth a hundred 2600 games These days when I play 2600 games I usually find myself reaching for Joust or Asteroids, but there were so many good ones
