Handy tips indeed :) I have a question though Vicki… a grammar one in fact In the dialogue from 3:40 to 4:04, Jay says: “so I can impress my boss” to introduce a purpose Now, I’ve always taught my learners that the conjunction ‘so’ is used to introduce results, while ‘so that’ is to introduce reasons or purposes Have I been wrong in teaching them that?
