I don’t have a Mexican 50 pesos but it’s on my list, however I do love the Britannia for the reason you stated ( design, security features, and just over all beauty)

22ct versus 24ct doesnt matter you buy them on the pure gold content anyway so if you had two 1oz gold coinds and one was 22ct and the other 24ct the 22ct would weigh more than an oz That peso is 12oz of gold which is 375g yet it actually weighs 416g

Both are Nice 🪙 my personal preference is the 50 pesos and mostly all Mexican coins(even silver) Most of the are between 37mm and 40mm 50 pesos 90 gold 10 copper 1947 is the restrike Overall both 50 pesos and Brit are nice coins I own a few Brits myself Queen version is my preference
