Because it's the greatest 3D movie Because James Cameron has found a way to perfectly align style and substance His craftsmanship is unparalleled He is the master of 3D cinematography and Avatar is the simplest and purest example of his talents If you want a more complex example, watch Aliens The man was able to hide the No 57 from everyone in almost every other shot, including his critics Clearly his writing is good enough, working perfectly with his art direction and set design or he couldnt pull that off

I say it was largely repeated viewings Even I, who didn't like the movie, went and saw it 3 times in the theaters because my autistic brain needed to those revisit all the effects on the big screen and digest them And I, and even haters, no doubt will do it again for number 2

Every thing in this video is straight truth,nothing hidden, nothing exaggerated If you come to the age,gender quadrant topic;I was born in 2006 If you come to the southeast Asia topic; I'm from northern India Let me tell y'all a story, when I was 5 or 6,my younger uncle who used to live with my grandmother had a pc from 2008 like literally a windows xp💀 and he had a disc for the movie and I'm not talking about Blu-ray or anything,it was some third party copy which was cheaper(Indians are cheap💀) When I was at my gramma's for summer he was watching it on the computer and let me tell you that the quality was 240p or some shit,now that I look back I'm like wow that was shit but I remember being so mesmerized by the visuals, music and I didn't even know what they were saying,I didn't know EnglishbrbrAs a child I clearly loved it and like you stated that it was like living in someone's dream, I literally thought that there is a machine which makes you dream about blue people (yeah,kids have wild imaginations)brbrAnyways,he was the one who introduced me to English movies,he introduced me to James CameronbrbrNow whenever I watch it I'm like WOW!THIS IS WHAT A MOVIE SHOULD LOOK LIKE One of the best movie that I have ever watched

i think definitely one of the best points was basically the worldbuilding and vision, you don't get too many movies or franchises that add a lot to the world and story to it, avatar was a good example of having a semi-simple story but a very story enriched world, and thats what makes it unique, and only few movies, series, and games achieve thatbrbrand also because the CGI was on another level of its time

I remember at the time CGI was still a relatively new thing and for the most part it was still terrible A big part of what people talked about with Avatar was that it was going to have CGI that was 20 years ahead of its time and actually look real I went to see it in the cinema out of curiosity to see how good it really was
