Your example of compounding interest is so laughable you should be ashamed to include it If you think that 2 is a HIGH-Yield---you need serious help!!!!! When I was in my last year of HS in 1985 I invested 1000 at 12!!!!! Those days and those interest rates are long gone To make 2,189 on a 10yr investment after 10 years is hardly a high yield The value of that money will not even be what it was when you invested it
