Thanks for the video There is such a thing as a "bull pin" that was mentioned later in the video Earlier in the video he did also call it a mandrel Either a mandrel or bull pin could be used here

I had a bracelet once made out of two silver spoons, the ends of which met together at the top front of the bracelet, the end nearest the spoon part formed the back of the bracelet and was joined together with jump rings and a clasp I believe I don't know what or who happened to that bracelet All I know is I really liked it a lot The ring you made reminded me of it Nice work
