I love my route job Unfortunately I’m about to quit They pay decent But when you think about it your getting paid 10 cents for a paper they charge 2-4$ for People always complaining, saying wet paper, “not delivered” and if they call that into the company YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT OUT OF YOUR CHECK So if just 5 but faces call in a day and lie and the papers value is 2$ a pop, add that up and that’s coming off your check I’ve been doing it for only 2 years and the amount of wear and tear on your car is incredible I see people with perfect running cars and 6 months later leaking oil and sound horrible, all the trash your car collects and your fingers get black from touching the ink witch leads to your whole car getting black if your don’t maintain it often No Benefits, work 365 a year rain, snow, pay for your own bags and pay for your own gas And if your on a 1099 like I am you have to do your own Taxes Some insurance company’s make you have commercial insurance for driving Not worth it to me for the money you get from it The stress of knowing my car can break down anytime and I’m screwed is not worth it I’ve dumped thousands into cars the past 2 years on repairs and parts I’ve had people come out 4am to ask if I received there tip through the paper company and never did It’s sad because I like the freedom though Just my thought on delivering papers

I do the paper route too and where i live we get given a map with the streets and houses i deliver too But we deliver to the letterboxes

I can't imagine having to triple bag the papers Luckily we're in Arizona and we mainly have to worry about the summer monsoon, no snow or icy roads in our city, thankfully haha Im not sure if you mentioned this but what was your cut off time?

they give us a route list: addresses listed in order of shortest drive, & a route map (shortest drive highlighted)- you can even count how many houses the drop is from the corner house
