I'm so tired of hearing that buying a house is a liability Yes, you have to maintain it However, if you rent (and rental prices continue to climb)at the end of the day you have spent more than it cost you for a mortgage AND, you cannot sell what you do not own If you buy a house for 200k, and maybe spent 60k on maintenance (new roof, windows, etc), at the end of THAT scenario you have 140k in your bank account So please, please, pleasestop saying that buying a home is a liability If you rent out a home (in the scenario you proposed) you often have to repair damage from tenantsand guess what, you STILL have to maintain the home you fool 🙄
