Beautiful video, I've spent the last few hours listening to your A History of Britain series, and I love the methodical and patient way you navigate telling the history I'm learning a lot, thank you so much for doing these!brbrI would like to say, something that I've noticed in a few of your videos: You've mentioned a few times that people didn't live much longer than 30, and I would highly recommend looking deeper into that Many scientists argue that just because the average lifespan is so low does not mean the average badult/b lived to only 30--that average is taking into account a high infant-and-child mortality rate, and does not necessarily speak to the health of the ancient world Once a person survived adolescence, it seems likely they lived a rather complete life into senior years, assuming disease or injury didn't compromise their health otherwisebrbrI'm not trying to nitpick, it's just something that I feel important to distinguish in understanding human history Comment from : Drakarra |
This video is wrong Everybody had the same technology at the same time Mesopotamia had bronze in 3250 BC Therefore Britain did This is called scientific dating It's 100 flawless: absolute necessary logical deduction from nonfalsifiable premises Comment from : John Dodson |

The biggest problem with diffusionist theories is that they rarely attempt to explain why new practices get adopted in cases where they don't provide any benefit Copper and bronze are obvious improvements for most uses, but burial practices and pottery shape really aren't Migration at least provides a reason for those to spread, the people practicing them spread Diffusionist ideas just wave their hands Comment from : Derrick Bonsell |
It’s worth noting that demographics completely replaced the indigenous neolithic population in only a few generations The current indigenous population were never asked if they wanted immigration from all over the world If you look at the demographics and lack of intermarriage in only a few more generations the indigenous population are set to become a minority within their own country Will our culture and history also eventually be lost just like the indigenous neolithic population? Comment from : Jim Cook |
