Not to mince words here, but the timing for farming frog coins was a lot easier in the SNES version In that version, I could consistently get 5 frog coins easily In this version, I can barely get the Troopa Pin Besides, the special enemies has changed my routing in this version, making Sergeant Flutter unnecessary for frog coins

In the original i found a wiggler in the woods and jumped on it over and over again because jumping on it 8-7 times gives a frog coin You can also do it with the whirlpool enemy in the lands end whirlpool section Looking at the tas for the original it may be faster if your good enough This is better overall

I'm an absolute sloot for fighting every enemy I encounter, and special enemies are super abundant Between this and maining Mallow at all times for scanning for the bestiary, I've had no problems with frog coins

Personally I like to grind special enemies with the machine made claymorton, they’re infinite spawning and their shymores also have a chance to be a special enemy… while not a quick as this, it’s a good alternative for people who aren’t as good at these timing minigames

I made the mistake of not thought peeking some single fight enemies so now I need over a hundred frog coins to fill out the monster list I wish they had included a way to exchange regular coins for frog coins in the remake, even if it was 100 for 1

I greatly overleveled during my playthrough after the first time I encountered a special enemy and a frog coin came out of it brIn the original frog coins were such a pain now you can level grind and get a handful of them brYes please!!!!
