I agree with u I totally noticed that when I read from a paper book, I’m able to concentrate on the plot of the book Also it’s more enjoyable than reading e-books And watching this podcast I realised how much it’s essential to our brain reading books such as develops critical thinking, creativity and activates different areas of our brain,etc On the other hand electronic books are much more uncomfortable and hurt eyesight, also because of the notifications we just lose our attention span😔

I think that reading book from screen also achieves same effect, I can set focus mode in my phoneAs for the places that are harmful to the eyes, reading paper book are also harmful to the eye

I've always preferred reading paper books, I adore the smell of the paper, but often it's much cheaper and more practical to read an electronic book In just one device, you can store a list of hundreds of books!

I do believe it doesn't matter the knowledge or information you get in the form of book paper pages or from a screen, rather than the way you get it through😃& second the frequency you review it to memorize it🤔third is to what extent you are interested in🥳afterall those notifications should be subjected to scientific search on accurate basis to get true results & recommendations👍

I think reading, either with a physical book or with a kindle/on screens, is equally great It's important to find what suits you and your situation For example, when I really need to read a book and I don't want to wait for its delivery, I opt for the kindle version It just works beautifully I used to be torn over this dilemma, but now it's no longer an issue for me

Here is a big advantage to reading books: many of them were written before the internet, and consequently, there was a higher standard of writing in order to be published Today, anyone can put something on a screen There are many errors in syntax, word choice, spellingthere is a long list of writing failures today Read the classics of English literature from UK and American authors, and you will have a far greater understanding of the language For example, I am learning French and Spanish, and my learning will include many books from the last century in order to give me additional perspective about the cultures and the words the authors chose to use

In my country getting good books to read can be a little difficult due to the high prices brThat's why I follow Telegram news channels like BBC, WSJ or ABC to readand also learn EnglishbrbrIf you think it could be harmful, try to adjust your screen to make it more comfortable, nowadays smartphones have really useful tools like gray scales, texture-like screen or extra dim feature 👍 brbrAnyway, as long as you read something meaningful and useful I don't see why reading books could be better 🤷‍♂️

i want to read from books but it's been like over a few months since the last time i opened a book and it was because i was watching an online class it requires a novel as the textbook deep in my heart i do want to spend more time reading books, i really do but for the most part i just read from screens as the host said cause we use phones everyday and it's natural that human nowadays read screens more than books if i could, i like always to use a book dictionary,(i have an oxford dictionary for many years and i do look it up from time to time), i bought so many novels and other english learning books i wanna try to read for the joy of it i want to let the books fill the void in me i hope, in someday(not far away), i could check all of my books i knew 6 minute english from an app when i was in high school, now im in my 20s, i'm this show still goes on, this is the most long-running english podcast i've know and it is still very useful to me i still have a long way to go

My attention span is terrible and I usually read a book on the surface level I rarely read a book for the joy of it, so I have a low range of vocabulary I'm preparing for IELTS exam these days, I have to practice reading section When it comes to reading, I hardly ever get high score because most of the teachers say students should read the passage by skimming, so I read the passages in that way On the mock test, I sometimes made very bad inferences to the questions Thus, different kinds of thoughts pop up in my mind, I'm like a stupid learner or something like that Maybe I have to change my reading technique such as deep reading
