I like your point about gold confiscation being ridiculous Lynette Zang on ITM Trading really pumps numismatics I even told her -- they won't take people's gold Besides gold is so small you can hide it unless you are super honest and some doofus who would turn over their gold to the silly government Comment from : @adambathon |

I've been buying silver and gold coins all my life When it comes to bullion, I'd recommend foreign gold which can often be purchased for spot minus As far as weight and selling quickly, no problem: sell to a refiner You don't have to pay the big mints a premium I agree with you about Grading Companies marketing techniques being a scam But I know there is a way to make money in numismatics also Most people who invest in "rare" coins lose moneybrDealer's, even honest ones, have overhead and they like to buy for half of the selling price Check out The Greysheet It's what many dealers use to reference current buying and selling prices between one another You'll see what I mean Big beautiful Morgan Silver Dollars in extraordinary shape are beautiful but probably not great investments They made hundreds of millions of them A common date MS66 or even Prooflike can be had for in the $300-$400 range, retail That's not rare High demand is what you want because you will have what others desire And pay for I'd recommend an early date, nice butbrnot necessarily MS, US Quarter Dollar, something between 1796-1828 for instance They are just hard to find and very desirable A US 20c Piece in MS or PRbris another coin that will rarely let you down Seated Liberty Dollars in high grades are a good bet These I consider investments over time Finally, do not overlook fine foreign coins Many Americans do not realize the value of these in MS or near mint condition Europe has not been as quick to adopt third party grading and with a bit of knowledge and a good eye, there is real money to be made there And Central and South American early coins offer real opportunities for a patient buyer Bottom line is bullion and numismatic coins occupy different markets but if you know what you are doing, you can profit handsomely in markets most people overlook Stick with the best you can afford and always be on the lookout for "eye appeal" over a number or opinion Comment from : @davisnorthcutt3645 |

I have 2 numismatics I really want but hesitant cause its only 7 ounces total Its way above its weight value But i waannntttt itttt Comment from : @JeffersonRah |

Ha! The selling point of numismatics is that it can't be confiscated? No The art, history, beauty and joy that comes from collecting choice coins plus the increasing value of rare coins is a cherry on top! Comment from : @evenruderanger7617 |

Fun video I know what you mean, I like the walker obverse and several of the cool eagle reverses I would be nice to put them together more frequently Good Advice- the first thing is figure out why you are in coins at all and after study focus on a few coins, otherwise you could spend your entire life studying this stuff Regardless it's fun, or should be for you You can learn a lot !!! My understanding is AGE are numismatic and not bullion There is a dollar value added to the coin which is value not based upon weight alone So, if gold fell to nothing the US government would honour the AGE at a minimum of $50US A gold wafer or round is bullion and the value is only based upon weight brbrI think you are blurring the concept or billion and numismatic Comment from : @nameless_no_name |

i buy ms69s as graded coins (early release ngcs only for my buffalos just cuz i want a matching complete set) for the coins protection & presentation of the case and to keep costs as near to BU as possible like 1000 extra for the protection & presentation aspect is worth it to me Comment from : @punch_bowl_turd3005 |
there's no reason for a confiscation the 33' 1 was done to strictly create more money & inflate it due to the gold std so be glad we're no longer on a gold std with how hard it is to find the stuff these days Comment from : @punch_bowl_turd3005 |

I can't sell my house, rental houses in 24 hours that would reflect the real value? Try selling stocks after the exchanges close? Yes you will find buyers, not the prices you will like! In a Mad Max World, water, gasoline, bullets, food, toilet paper become not commodities but money! Comment from : @bohemianh |
can you please send me some gold? Comment from : @hijinx0r |
what you want to do is buy coins that may someday be considered numismatic for bullion prices for instance right now you can get gold libertads for pretty much the same price as buffaloes or AGEs but libertads may be worth good numismatic prices because they are popular and have mad low mintages Comment from : @yuliya9999 |
In the first minutes you talk About getting bullion over numi's But the eagles are the worst in comparison to the maple leaf for example since the eagle is not 24k gold Comment from : @boykaunlimitted4514 |

How can you determine the value of a numismatics if the content is questionable? Very informative video One wonders how these coins fare amznto/1jNg6v7 Comment from : @myrtlewelch7642 |
I prefer graded coins only for the simple fact that you know it's real gold and not some fake yellow coin, if hard to trust someone when buying a coin Comment from : @danrosa1108 |
While I agree with almost everything you say, I do think it is a good ideal to have some numismatic items For the most part I try to keep an equal amount of both numismatic (silver Eagles and Canadian Maple Leafs) and bullion (generic silver bars) That way, in the coming years, if silver maintains it's current spot price, the numismatic coins would have increased some, while on the other hand if spot goes up, silver is silver, no matter how you slice it Comment from : @allhailsirmicrocosm9932 |
id never buy proof coins they are a massive scam noone would be stupid enough to buy a coin that cost more than its worth even gold coins you would just never see the money you paid for it Comment from : @restrainingdylan2524 |

I am brand new to stacking and after 3 weeks of solid research you have pretty much summed up everything I have come to realize about this game too I'm glad to hear it confirmed by someone who seems to know what they are talking about The only exception to the numismatics I can see is the silver panda that seem to sell above premium year after year even though they are not limited or special by any means; I guess there is always an exception to the rule though But for the most part, as far as I can see, buy low sell high or invest for 30 years; buy regular coins (eagle or maple leafs), stay away from grading and numismatics and "first strike" as you won't get your money back, and when it comes to bars buy cheap generic as close to spot as possible To me that seems to be it?? Fear mongering, ah yes that is the sales technique most commonly used today, that is for sure I heard you almost break in to laughter when you said the word confiscationI am with you brother! Craziness is all around us! Now I have to go out back and dig up my ammo, lol Thx for sharing BTW - love the kitty Comment from : @Puppyplay1 |

The price of gold seems high to me right now compared to silver When i was in HS gold was in the low $200s and silver was $7-8 Silver now is only around twice as much and has been as high as approx $50 Gold is about 6X the price and has not reached 2k Personally i dont see gold as such a great investment as silver Comment from : @journeyquest1 |

Junius, you must be dealing with jerk off coin shops I have always made cash holding rare gold coins It is simple The coin dealer has to give the customer the "blue book" value of the particular coin If they don't, they can be shut down Comment from : @thecoingeek5473 |
I only collect rare hard to find gold coins because they are worth a lot more than the weight When you sell these type of coins, you get your premium money back I will give an example In 1992 I bought an 1837 $5 gold coin AU58 It was $45600 I sold it for $1,23600 in 2012 Comment from : @thecoingeek5473 |

Been collecting coins for 45 years I don't collect for the end of the world,I collect to make money and have fun If your saving something for the end of the world a gallon of water will cost ya an oz of gold, lol Comment from : @peterhawryluk8430 |

Related to third party graders, it would be much better if they graded on the integrity of the coin and the details and left any aesthetic consideration related to toning, etc out of it Nicks, scratches, loss of details, etc The rest is too subjective Comment from : @EmWarEl |
