Hi there, great channel, I hope you will take the time to please respond to my comment and I feel incredibly embarassed to ask but I have a few queries as someone who has never been out of the UK So my parents are disabled and I don't get to go out anywhere even in town alone never mind to another country I'm currently an unpaid carer, a charity volunteer and still looking for a paid job I have worked in the past but they've been short lived jobs due to a hell of a lot of discrimination and downright bullying towards me which was not worth putting up with on a daily basis for a zero hours contract I'm on a part time academic course for adults at the local uni and I have some income from the student loan however I don't really spend unless it's essential such as stationery, bus travel, books, clothing and food I am 24 yrs of age and have never been on a city break never mind an overseas holiday If and when I get to a stage where I can leave my parents for a few few days and if and when an employer offers me a part time paid job, I'd be so grateful if I could book myself a short city break or holiday for the first time in my life My parents are really elderly and not healthy enough to fly so I can't take them with me to my ideal places such as New York for example Now I realise there are all these online holiday booking websites where you can pick and choose flights and hotels and locations however I am completely naive and clueless to it all and there are so many websites The only thing I would know how to do is book a taxi to the airport and book the flight and hotel via card I don't have the slightest clue about all the other essential things you have to buy like visas, insurance, and I know what all the jargon like apta etc even means Yes sadly I am very stupid So say I was offered a job by the April half term or summer holiday latest, and my parents let me escape the house for about 3 days and I wanted to go to say New York from Manchester (obviously I'd have to book ages in advance) what would be the full list of things I would have to do & what would be the best hokdiay booking website to use and how can I stay safe as a lone traveller? Are there any discounts you know of for this year I feel so outcast and embarassed and inferior that it's 2020 I'm 24 years old and I've never been on a holiday whilst many people much younger than me have already travelled to all the continents of the globe Even if my parents and others try to stop me I wish to make a brave stand against these people and prove that I can be a safe, responsible, female who travels in luxury and style Also what do I do about currency exchange etc? In case you can't tell, I'm really adamant about achieving this what should be basic goal There are many reasons for this including because people always tell me that I cannot and will not do anything and that I'm selfish and delusional for thinking about a holiday As a 24 Yr old woman who has never been anywhere and with a lack of freedom, I find it unbearable that there are like 16 ye olds going on luxury holidays with friend My personal belief is that life is not supposed to be lived staying in the confines of a broken home I also feel entitled to at least one holiday or city break abroad on my life I've recently been diagnosed with a chronic condition so life is not great but I feel a few days away somewhere afar can help me temporarily focus on better things If you are able to help is be so grateful Also what are your views of the Voyage Prive website I've been browsing it today and it says there is like a 70 sale or something? Thank you in advance Xx Comment from : Z V |

People who like to follow, love routine and don’t like to make decisions, do all inclusivebrPeople who like to explore, are full of self esteem & like to widen their horizon, prefer independent travelling Comment from : Holyfox |

Ryanair in winter you can get return flights all in for £60 or less to Malta with hotels in bugibba coasting about £250 half board 7 days Comment from : RICHARD |

I do a bit of both I do like booking myself and the build up, etc, but I am also looking forward to the all inclusive holiday that I have booked for July It's for my belated honeymoon so it's more for the luxury for that trip haha Comment from : ShaniceThroughTheLens |

One is travel and experience , the other one is consumption and holiday Not the same thing Comment from : neo grove |

Another amazing video by PsychoTraveller Just a question 1) Did you try and compare the hotels direct online prices versus the price on third party websites like expedia, hotelscom and agoda as i find it occasionally cheaper on third party websites than directly with the hotel Comment from : khalil k |

When I was a teenager we always went on package holidays (flight, hotel, breakfast included) Browsing the catalogues was fun - it was before the Internet 😁 my boyfriend and his family always travelled individually So on our first trip to Greece we booked a package vacation together and when we got out of the airport and I showed him the tour bus that would take us to our hotel he looked as if a UFO just landed 😂 „What, we don’t have to get a taxi?!“ brNowadays I mostly book for me / us but I would totally go on an all inclusive trip, depending on the destination Comment from : MEISSOUN |
|
It depends Single supplement if you travel alone can make an all inclusive less economical I have been dinged anywhere from $100 to maybe $300 extra because I travelled alone Its not totally fair I have booked items separately one time partly because the single supplements were ridiculous Comment from : TheMagdalenaBB |

Also a bargain is great But word of warning I paid £125 for a package holiday to Ibiza Oh My God Never again! Disgusting hotel, rained all weeksometimes there’s a reason why somewhere seems too cheap to be true 😂🙈 Comment from : Louise Roden |
|
I think the typical beach resorts model is around package holidays It works out cheaper in those places to do the package - probably more so in low peak season But I don’t think you could say the same for say Thai beach holidays Defo cheaper to go independent Comment from : Louise Roden |

It looked like a wonderful time darling A change if pace is good, but you're like me I prefer being an explorer! Hunting down the deals That's half the fun of it all! So nice to see your face lovely BTW, two more bought your book girl! xx Mama J Comment from : Joan E |

Thanks for the info! Comment from : Gigi |

I have stayed in a all inclusive hotel twice both times for a wedding There is no doubt they can be good value specially if you have a family But for me they r a big 👎 I kept referring it to my girlfriend as a prison Also some of the cheaper all inclusive alcohol and food is utter rubbish I also enjoy searching about for cheap flights working out transport accommodation myself before hand Comment from : Mr 90s |
|
We are on our first all inclusive now! Been booking independently for the last 8yrs This was out of our comfort zone but now would definitely recommend it Just nice not to think and plan anything Only do it for a week though! Love your vids x Comment from : ALF1976 |
|
I have found that it all depends on where you go and at what time of the year as to whether the price is different Ive recently booked an all inclusive which was cheap but if you go for a package deal to Disney Paris for instance it's a heck of a lot cheaper to book things individually Comment from : lee 1972 |

I’ve just started doing it myself, think I’m going back to AI hols haha Had some cracking deals over the years, don’t knock it till you’ve tried it! Comment from : Rachel Edwards |

It's nice to enjoy not doing anything once in a while I usually prefer more action-packed trips but I couldn't say no to a pool and a beach and a nice hotel Comment from : Un Mundo Pequeño |

I want to do one AI with my husband and kids (aged 7 & 9) once so I don't have to do anything Mostly it will be for the experience, but partly so I don't have to cook, clean, wash up and any other housework I have to do at home This video and the other two you did in this series has given me some hope that I can convince the manchild to do this one time before the elder girl turns 12 Comment from : emeraldsroses |

I think one of the best things about travelling is the organisation and pre-hype! I’m saving all inclusive for later on in life 😉 Comment from : Emily Claire Daly |
|
I would 100 recommend a package holiday for a first holiday for late teens/early twenties!!! brbrAround 4 years ago I went to Tenerife with my first boyfriend we stayed in a lovely hotel in Los Cristianos £400 all inclusive including transfers everything! It made our families feel more reassured as we had food, drinks etc ✌ Comment from : Jessica Saffron |

What is that on your arm Comment from : صالح صالح |

Hi Aly, now that our kids are older (13 & 14) and thatbrwe have travelled abroad 3 times a year most years, we now find it much cheaperbrto book things ourselves We used All Inclusive holidays when the kids were under 5 as financially if you get a free child place this worked out better Annoyingly, at the tender age of 11, kids become adults in many hotels and on many planes Plus with younger kids, you are at a constant demand for drink and ice-cream which costs you a fortune alone should you be self-catering!brWith my knowledge I have gained, we purely travel out of season to get the better prices The week before Easter this year we are off to Majorca, half board in a 4* hotel 2 minutes walk from the beach for under £900 Its not going to be 30 degrees, but we don’t care! It will be quieter, photo opportunities better, culture of Easter celebrations processing through the streets…pricelessbrIf we booked an AI holiday now, we would be looking at around £1700 for Spain For that, brutilizing our knowledge we can book 2 holidays and stay self catering Comment from : oneinap1llion |

All- inclusive is usually very cheaper if you are a family and you drink alcohol It is good for the people who want to rest and don't want to get out of the resort, so for them it is really cheaper Comment from : Travel With Mansoureh |
|
Very interesting ! However if you stay in youth hostels I am guessing you could do it independently for quite a bit cheaper right ? Also reckon you could do a similar “ is it worth it “ video for a group tour and price compare that ? :) would be very interesting x Comment from : Madalena Caldas |

"Do it all, do none of it It's quite alright, I'm still going to be here" YAAAS QUEEEN! x'D <3 Comment from : Minna TheFlamingo |

I really enjoy booking everything on my own I’m kinda addicted to it actually Finding the awesome Hostels or cute boutique hotels or awesome Airbnbs Where i get exactly what i want and where i want it And booking those Airlines that i want, speaking of if i wanna save money on luggage or if i want a certain Airline, Singapore for instance 👌 Sometimes i just wanna eat out the entire time, because let’s be real sometimes breakfast is horrible in Hostels or Hotels Comment from : cassie pitchford |
