Unfortunately, I tried this and got eight rolls open before I read one brof them and it said "Loomis"brbrLoomis has discrimination software on their counting machines and it brkicks out all silver coins You will not find any silver coins in Loomisbr rolls of any denominationbrbrI learned this when I worked at Walmart

I find it to be a good idea to run a magnet along the side of the rolls If there are any Canadian coins or other things in there you might find them this way Canadian coins are usually steel with a copper or nickel plating, unless they are silver I did get a silver Canadian dime once I am not from Canada and I have never been there so getting a silver dime from there was a bit of a surprise I think they are 80 silver but none the less silver so I kept it Sometimes I get a box of all new coins (I hate it when that happens) and the only way to know for sure it to open them all The one and only advantage is they are new and most likely not yet circulated You will know when you see them like that because that is the one time they look that good

Okay, I have to ask I went to 7 banks in 3 cities near me none of which even had half dollar coins so I put in a request for a $500 box lot and after about a 2 week wait my bank finally called me to say they had my shipment Sad to say every single coin roll was already marked from the outside "Laughlin Nevada 2011" and sure enough, that was exactly what every half dollar was Not even a date variation so apparently the box made it from a casino I'm guessing I tried BofA, Citibank, Chase, and Wells Fargo I also tried leaving an upper class area I live in for a lower income class location (no disrespect) thinking that maybe there were a bunch of random half dollars circulating in a different economical territory and still, nothing I've since attempted five (5) more cases and in each instance, I only got new coins with not one silver in the lotbrbrIn short, do you as a professional coin hunter or any other coin hunter reading this have a suggestion to help me out in my quest to start this hobby? So far I'm not finding crap I'd really love to hear from you guys who have the real tips and tricks of the trade and if you don't want to post it here, please email me direct Thanks

So what do you do after you un roll all the coins and have the unwanted ones? Do you hand roll them back up or do you give the bank the bag of coins I would want to do this but it would be such a hassle rolling it back up or not finding anything
