This was a very fun yet very exhausting video to make haha! Do you guys use language learning apps? do you find them useful? brCORRECTION: Thanks to @brucea9871 and @sunce0072 for pointing out that Langua CAN correct your grammar, which makes it an even more amazing platform! there is a pen tool underneath your response, it is supposed to do that! :) 💓brYou still need to invoke it manually though, it doesn’t alert you automatically when you have mistakes Comment from : @CasanovaExplains |
This video is a productivity lifesaver! I’d also add Bluedot to the list, because now I don’t have to write endless notes during meetings – I just wait for it to do everything for me Feels like I’ve outsmarted the system! Comment from : @FinbarEinar |

These Apps are copies of each otherBeta versions Comment from : @oqqaynewaddingxtwjy7072 |
The Apps are not fully finished they are used and they too learn by using raw vocabulary data and basically learn with the user and gather feedback using predictive text from other data to learn which string of words fit the learners like all translation machines they must be used a lot to improve it sounds like a beginner being told to teach a language to learners and must learn with them or not get paid ! in sweden in the 1970-80s students would have English talk and each student pool their knowledge that is what the apps might do teach each other and have to correct each other I had thes friends and I told them some English did not sound right and they looked at me and said we do not care about those little mistakes we just want to talk and we debated this and I too agree that correcting is good if it is critical but talking practice is key so I actually spent years in Scandinavia to learn all 4 and wanted to learn karelian Finnish Sami but N,S,D first but they refused and said you are our sound board we want you to be our friend teacher Comment from : @oqqaynewaddingxtwjy7072 |

Busuu is my top choice for Spanish exactly because it is like an interactive school book I don't want to be treated like an idiot by Duolingo that makes you repeat a word 100 times, instead I want to use my app as a source of information that I can also continue learning outside of the app Comment from : @valteacup |

I tried babbel for one year, but after a few months I started losing motivation The app is pretty oldschool, I mean the lessons are like the lessons we know from school and everyone knows, Schools are not the place to learn a language Even if you go through all the lessons, nobody can tell me he can speak a language after that You have to speak very more often and be in a conversation with a native speaker otherwise you will just learn words and that´s it So not so good experience in my opinion Comment from : @viscountiss |
Pity about the distracting background "music" Comment from : @elainemagson213 |

I am looking for an AI application to learn the English language My native language is Croatian I would like it to reach at least level C and include the option to learn business English I would also like to study grammar and have it correct me when I make mistakes I need to talk with someone, and since I am an introvert and lack confidence, I think this is an excellent opportunity and a way to overcome this obstacle Let's assume my comprehension level is B1, and my speaking level is A2 With the large number of applications available, it’s almost impossible not to make a mistake Comment from : @mariohanzek712 |

Can you do a video on your entire German journey and what courses you tried and liked? How long did it take you to learn German and did you get experience from living in the country? What is the true level you feel Bussu & Babbel go up to for German? Like B1? Comment from : @mylanguageexperience |

I have to say, that most apps who claim to teach up to level B2, aren't in fact doing it If you take a look at the reference from Cambridge University, From A1 up to B2 there should be about 7250 words Most apps are teaching far less Comment from : @ssmp00 |
Most android apps want unnecessary rights Comment from : @user-yh8dg3wq6i |
hmm it seems like there should be the second part of the video about the worst apps and their issues, looking forward to hear it! Comment from : @linguaastasia |
Thank you for the video it was very helpful and comprehensive! Now I want to try out these AI apps By the way, is there any chance you've stumbled upon an app called Natulang? It's a new app made by a Ukrainian polyglot and programmer It's actively developing now, it still hasn't Arabic but he's going to add it later The app has a community on Reddit I've been learning French with it for a month and I quite enjoy it I wonder what would you think of it Comment from : @yuraselivanov4270 |
Good thing that you didnt rate any of 'em under 7/10 In french we say "you don't spit on the future" 😂😂brBtw i'm looking for an app like dualingo with little games, but way harder, to master arabic grammar Do you hv a suggestion? Ty so much Comment from : @nasrez6282 |
This is a fantastic video, thanks for that! Comment from : @JOAOPEDRO1789ZZ |
video format is so fun! thanks for trying out all these apps! Comment from : @yuenatv |
Thumb up for your good review👍 You need to review the subtitles that Youtube automatically delivered You gave the ChatGPT icon in your presentation and said you are using it I'm presently working daily with ChatGPT trying to find a protocol to study/translate with it switching between several languages, I haven't found a smooth approach yet I'll check your dedicated video, thank you! It is very promising and improving all the time much faster than all the language apps; for example Duolingo brags about AI, my guess is all their efforts are focused on the big earners (Spanish, French), many other languages are neglected in a state you would have expected a language app to be 20 years ago (Parenthetically, Busuu transcription confuses the هه and the حح in Arabic del-both 'h'-/del meaning no one in their team has studied Arabic more than a few months) Comment from : @Paroissien |
For LanguaTalk the sentence you gave in Arabic as an example (about the sustainability of nuclear power) is not pronounced by a native as you say; I am mentioning this because I have been faced with the disastrous Arabic pronunciation on Duolingo that might sound almost realistic 60 of the time but the rest of the time it screws up big time and you report the issue nothing is done even months later In Arabic and less popular languages people have little reference apart from the app they're learning on, I can't imagine how many mistakes are taught by main learning apps Comment from : @Paroissien |
Qlango is still the best Unfortunately nobody knows about it :( Comment from : @qlango |
Thanks Casanova! Memrise has radically changed its functionality in early Sep 2024 and not for the better There are tons of AI features and paid only levels : ( Pls review it if it's possible Probably it is time to switch to LanguaTalk Comment from : @ojisan4220 |
شكرآ على فيديو ❤❤ Comment from : @Abdul-Hikma |
I like Babel except for one thing: occasionally it has you unscramble a scrambled set of words This takes a lot of time it’s a puzzle It may be fun on that basis, but it doesn’t translate to anything a speaker would do in real life After you unscramble things, You’ve only learned how a particular word were said words could be scrambled I was just using Babbel as my only app, but this particular exercise became so dispiriting, that I rarely use it now Comment from : @boxsterman77 |
Thank you! I will take a look at Langua Comment from : @TheAnonJohn |
