Honestly don’t like futures for most of the reasons you said I hate 24/5 You really don’t have a life during the week because of it Takes up way too much buying power for most contracts and you don’t even get that much position volatility unless you went nuts with it Most brokerages have way too high of requirements, real life isn’t prop trading Options trading is just better for swing trading You can use size and never run the risk of being margin called And nothing really matters until 9:30am during the week cuz you can’t adjust your positions anyways

CFD is better as you can trade all stocks with leverage, not only indexes like with futures Futures are to limited Having even 20€ account you can trade anything x5 x20 leverage, while to trade futures you have to have margin accounts as big as required Could be 20k and more

Tori, you forgot to mention futures are taxed using the 60/40 rule: 60 are taxed at the long-term capital gains tax rate of 15, while only 40 of your short-term capital gains are taxed at your (higher) ordinary income tax rate
