Not a very good guideline It's like saying find the fair value and buy it below Easier said than done 90 of people will not be able to read 300 page 10K and understand key features in it I will suggest you read them but it’s not a step in itself For instance, my analysis is divided into 3 parts, Screening, Fundamental and Valuation Each part has its own steps Screening part includes debt and ROIC If a companies Interest coverage is below 10 or debt is too high, I might just skip it or do more research 1rst part takes less than 10 min and once it passes, the company goes into the fundamental stage Once I am happy with fundaments, it’s time for valuation For stable companies I use DCF and FCF Yield and so on
