Stop kidding yourselves, the only things management does is lie and manipulate You're just a bunch of fakes guard dogging any good ideas or concerns so you can coast for 30 years Anything new frightens you because you don't have any idea what you're doing in the first place You just put on a front and people actually believe you Comment from : Deadener |

Habit #6 is helpful brI had 2 employees argue over a little disagreement I had talked to the team before to never blame others for work that can be resolved quickly so I didn’t know how to make them get along I just let them continue working silently eventually one stepped up and both started to get along I felt if I had intervened I might have made it worse Comment from : Bartmandestroyer |

Here's my advice on how to be a good manager: never act like mine My boss is a BlTCH! She once questioned me for putting black linens on the tables for the wedding reception instead of white, the correct/usual color (but in my defense, we busually/b put on black linens for bany/b event, and I don't even generally set the ireception/i linens) Oh, and she was upset I had signed up for a one-person shift, because she didn't think I could manage alone I'll admit, I am much better with a helping hand and guide, but come on, that's no excuse for being insensitive One of our student leader's responsibilities is organizing who works which shifts on the schedule, and my boss scolded him for not noticing I had signed up a coffee service When she asked him if she thought I could do the shift, I answered for him with a firm "yes," because I felt belittled by her She said she didn't think so, was all "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen" (something like, that, so I'm not perfectly quoting her), and she told me I need someone there to give me instructions and guide me I regretfully didn't stand up for myself because I was too intimidated She is not afraid to express her condemnations and question me when my jumbled brain makes me do ✌"dumb"✌ things I can see why she lives in her own apartment Heck, I can see why she works so many bwedding receptions/b Do you guys get my implication? I’m 19 and have been a lead for about 6 months now (entry management position) and soon will be promoted to an Operations Manager Throughout my experience (especially at the beginning) I was soft spoken, hesitant and would let things slide due to my inexperience Not too long after, I would quickly learn how all those traits would negatively affect not only the performance of my store, but how employees perceived me I learned quickly that in the end of the day, you shouldn’t care if someone doesn’t like you or not My 2 main priorities are ensuring the safety of my employees/customers, but also ensuring that our store stays consistent in positive performance I quickly learned the importance of being a leader and I don’t think twice now about reprimanding an employee if they jeopardize the safety of others and the performance of our store Being a leader takes sacrifice, and truly I could care less if some people don’t like me for being strict, but if that’s what it takes to ensure success, I won’t think twice about it Comment from : Lord Insidious |

Thanks so much for this video 👍 They're on about making me a team lead overall on projects in work and I'm a bit scared I feel like I could do a leadership position But obviously not used to this Altering my eyeline to viewing my work from a "subordinate" position to a oversight position not on the same level (even though I have been overseeing, without being told to, but having it made official) is going to take a little while to set in I love the way you speak, authoritive but not condescending 👍 aspiring to have the same confidence I want to bring the best out of people and myself Let's see where this goes Comment from : Robyn P |
