I am 15 and i really wanna be a fashion designerbrI learned embroidery 2 years back and it really did motivated me to dig more in fashion as now i can do embroidery much better than before brMoreover my school asked me to make mini clothes for dolls in fashion exhibition which i made and also added few decorations to those clothes which i sewed brThat really did motivated me to do more and learn new stuffs in fashion and yes this vacation after my exams am planning to work with dress foams , draping and sewing with youtube tutorials Also i have once did a design on sketchbook app but it didnt turn that good but i did better at first try so i will make sure to focus more in that area as wellbrHowever thank you Natalia for this video, It was pretty much informative 🤍!

In my personal opinion, I think apart from illustration etc Fashion history takes a big part in fashion career, I’ve been taking some amateur fashion design classes since 8 years old, and since now, what my classes have been focusing on the most is Fashion history Because someone can’t just draw an idea and call it a fashion design They learn how Fashion designers used to work back in the golden eras of fashion, And take some examples and inspiration Yes, they have to follow trending fashion but sometimes the best designs are the ones that stand out, by fashion history they can learn a lot about just that

i've read some of the comments and i realised some people are the same age as me! But, I am let's just say a tween and I have really dreamed of becoming a fashion designer (I'm british, live in UK btw) but I really don't know how to start! I know it's tough to get an occupation of fashion because of the chances that designs and risks don't go the way you want to, and those thoughts don't help my rapid thoughts about starting to learn it I think this video has helped me, although I'm unsure on what supplies or choices I should do should I wait until gcses, if so besides textiles what do I choose? Should I learn how to sketch (I know that's indefinite)? After gcsces how do I continue on? Do I apply to a 6th form or college that majors in fashion? I have a lot of questions and frankly I have no idea how to start! I do have ideas of pieces of clothing, but I do not (except blank and scribbled out sketches because of my terrible drawings) or even any fashion materials or a sewing machine If anyone has any advice, I would really appreciate it!! I think this path is totally for me I’m naturally always deconstructing garments in my head, looking at seams on my clothes and trying to figure out how things are put together As I’m listening to you, I feel all of this stuff comes so naturally to me, I’ve already been making my own patters and stuff and I am still waiting for my sewing machine to arrive
