I never saw Messi do what Maradona did Just no comparison Messi is adapted to this day and age and Maradona adapted to that one but that one, which I saw with my own eyes day in and out, was so much more difficult because of bad balls, sometimes bad pitches but most of all reckless defenders that were allowed to be extremely reckless without to much cards if any at all But the splitsecond decisions Maradona made and so many times something I never saw before (but okey: I was very young) and never after came out We can all have our personal favourites If you like Messi more, you are absolutely right If you like Cristiano Ronaldo more and think he is better, you are right too and that goes for Cruyff, Pele, Zidane etc We are all right
