I only use A series phones My first one was the A20 Great phone, but storage was just a bit low at 32gb I'm using the A35 now and it's perfect Fast, long battery life, amoled, gorilla glass, water resistant I'm not sure why I'd want to buy a flagship Maybe the Ultra for the pen and the anti reflection screen That's about it

Once every six months is crazy for buying new phones I only know one person that updates their phone even once a year All my family and friends keep their phones until they break which is usually several years And my family are pretty well off so it's not because of lacking the funds

I've had Samsung Galaxy A13 for few years passed it down to my brother and he's happy about it I've used that phone until I've upgraded to A55 5G which was massive upgrade for me since these phones when they came out costed several hundred bucks but best money spent for real it can do a lot off things you don't even know you would need

Don't forget about samsung A16 now😂 got one of those this year Not too bad for budget phone grew on me quickly considering my A50 was my last model it was simple just like it but faster and had more storage and slightly bigger Amoled screen as well

Even though I had one of well-known Xiaomi Redmi's devices for less than 110$ back in 2018 it has outlived, didn't break and might be steal working great after 55 years of harsh using I dropped it at school and it flew 2 floor staircases and faced its' screen with the floor Guess what? The phone was yet still in the perfect condition, except for a little scratch on the screen, which just was there Sad to hear that MIUI and Xiaomi itself no longer makes those powerful phones at all, but it was the beast appart from the Xiaomi MI 8 Flagship that i've used 55 years too until it died

Cheap smartphones have nothing to do with "tech illiteracy" The most tech savy and expensive smartphone I ever used was back when I was at university and it proved to be an essential tool As I growp up, I buy cheaper and cheaper phones, while I can more easily afford high end ones Why? Because it's virtually obsolete There's nothing I can't do with my dad's Moto G54 phone for my work for example and it makes me look stupid that I have a more expensive one Tech literacy means using Tik Tok and Instagram and taking cool photos? Cause that's the use of the I-phones and the "Galaxy"s of the world right now You see 50 to 60 year old businessmen flashing their 2000$ phones who barely know how to unlock them Please

Writing this on a a14 5G No the ui is not core as you mentioned I like that it has a sd card and headphone jack If you get a phone with storage issues good luck but with a sd card I just pop in a new one Headphones offer better quality and they can't be lost I am retired now but I used to work for a telephone company and I met with a few samsung reps over the years Interesting talking to them to get the inside scoop
