Don't understand why people convert to bonds in retirement Bonds don't make enough to even beat inflation, they are based on debt that will NEVER be paid off, and in my opinion the bond market could collapse with runaway corporate, national, and international debt I will get a pension to cover my basic living expenses and have multi year emergency savings Since I have risk tolerance, why not let it ride in my current S&P 500 investment accounts? It's diversified, "crashes" correct in months instead of years nowadays, and there is potential to INCREASE net worth in retirement Comment from : Dr MitoFit |

Is it cold there? Comment from : A K |

If you look at just the last 40 years, or so, the average time from peak to bottom to peak is around 18 months So, if you have 18 months worth of expenses in liquid assets, like cash or a money market account, you can weather the "modern" recession/market correction That's not to say it couldn't be worse, but if you have 18 months worth of expenses set aside, and things aren't improving, there's always an opportunity to reduce spending or generate some other income, for a short time Lots of ways to keep most of the nest egg invested for growth, without taking excessive risk Comment from : Jason Broom |

what if it's worst than the great depression of 1929? (cause i'm expecting that in 2029 no proof just my thought) Comment from : Jetah |

Great videowhat are the chances of a big and a moderate recession happening in succession (within 2-3 years)that would surely mean rebuilding the first two buckets from scratch again and the 60 pie reducing in size drastically Comment from : ØPaínØGaìn |

Wouldn't it be just easy just to sell off everything while it's high and than when everything hits it's lowest buy again Comment from : Yg Bodybuilder |
