I had a chance to make choice between fat and slim Long story short, the fat or 1000 is always a go to vita model There are basically two cons: shorter battery span and a little bit darker screen, especially in direct sunlight Other than that it's better than slim in every manner It's easy to notice that Sony cut the cost with the 2000 revision The screen, the cheap plastic body In 2024 the micro usb is as obsolete as the Sony proprietary port so that's no advantage now Vita has been given a second life by it's community and it's a really enjoyable system to have and play

thanks for the videobrI think I'm gonna go with the 2000 model, aside from 1000 model's OLED screen's possible side-effects which I preferably don't want to deal with (even tho the con is the screen I'll get in the 2000 model is a bit less bright/vivid in colours), being lighter in weight, having better button design, having better back/handle design, having a better battery performance, having switched to micro USB and having internal storage are pros that I'm definitely not gonna pass on

Decided to get the 2k one over the oled ngl I had the oled before and it was fantastic, the only issue was recycling through chargers which got annoying My OLED version ended up dying on me one day and I couldn’t use it again(that and the port was damaged) Yes the screen is better but for the value and that extra battery life 2k>>

already got vita earlier version with about 70 games had for 5 years even a few limited run games I love the handheld so much its ashame thats its not supported anymore watched this because I'm thinking of getting vita tv beforei cant get it , I've been thinking about this for nearly 5 years I need to get I think

PSVita Slim 2000 is the best one to havebr1) battery life is 4-6 hrs br2) it has a 1gb internal hard drive, so u can play a physical on the spot or download a small indie gamebr3) it uses a micro USB so u can use a 3rd party charger br4) the back resting pads are wider so u don't accidentally touch the back padbrbrThe original Vita has a OLED screen which is cool but in time it gets dead pixels and it has no internal memory so u need a memory card regardless just to play a physical game, the charger is propiortery the resting pads are shorter and it weights a bit more and battery is 3-5 Its not worth it just for an OLED screen and i have both models but I'll take the slim any day over the OLED

If you dont do a permanent jailbreak or sd2vita ! It is a boring machine but if you unleash the beast it's awesome device I got a 256gb card and i got about every game you can think of gb advance, sega , super nes, psp, Ps 1 and all the vita games and i still have 30 gb left over ! Best thing i ever did Plus you can put ported games like san andreas and other ps 2 type titles on it !

Do not buy a pstv they are horrible broken trash most game have been updated to not work on it and overall vita were not designed for it so the thing in its entirety is redundant Just get the handheld so u can play the games and they will actually work correctly

Yeah the 2000 is the best When I wanted a ps vita I could only get a 1000 model sadly Still ok but yeah it's really hard to play games with the tiny buttons and huge rear touch pad And the charger sucks
