If I feel stuck, I leave my ‘pro’ kit at home and just take my phone and not think about photography Instead I observe and soon I have my phone out and the images start to flow Comment from : @neilmarshment2910 |

In my naivitet I thought that photography, at least to most of us, should be fun as well as interesting and hopefully give us and maybe others, pleasure of seeing our work Not really expecting to become artists and great photographers whom people admire The greatest fun I have in photography is actually the process while taking a photograph Which I have been doing since 69, both professionally and now an avid photographer And I take most interest in people, living souls and their environment which includes street photography Point is, photography is as variable as people in general are, and knowing the basis in photography as in shutters, aperture and understanding light, anyone's photography may turn into art albeit that was never expected! Being in depth in photography back in 2013, it evolves as you level up and try new things Cumulatively, have learned the fundamentals how to craft the light so to speak However, when call of duty gets in the way, deployment to another country, the thrill wanes over Thank you for that idea of REVERSE EFFORT! It pinches a touch of interest once again! Followed your idea and had a photo walk recently in my vicinity Photos I had made brought back the spark of interest Great times Alex! Been your subscriber, thank you! Comment from : @Outlast1965 |

What a great idea I will surely try this out! there's so many times I am outside and I see a great view I want to captureand I dwell on it to long and end up just not always feeling the mood and end up not taking a photo, and I end up telling myself "why didn't I just take the photo?!" and other times I tell myself "just take the photo already, you'll regret it if you don't!" brbrThank you for another great video!! There was a study of beginner photographersbrbrTwo groups, A and BbrA was told, "Take care, try to make every shot good"brB, "Shoot everything, shoot lots Don't worry about good or bad"brbrA progressed slowly B very quicklybrbrI shoot lots, generally quickly, often (with IBIS), hand held Sometimes I survey the scene, no camera in hand Comment from : @oneeyedphotographer |

This is so true! In fact, this is closely related to the meaning of the word inspiration: a touch of divine breath coming to you You just have to allow it to enterbrI love your lessons so much! Comment from : @SimonWillig |

I've sort of been doing this for a long time, but have really started to focus on it in the last few months Especially when I just head out I used to take my time looking for the 'perfect' composition, but now just start shooting (thank you digital) and have found it has opened my eyes more when I'm out Comment from : @timday8331 |

Mel Robbins 5 Second rule! Never thought of using it in photography, what a fantastic idea! Comment from : @comptech2011 |

Still enjoying the videos, Alex (have been since lock- down) It's great to see more of your own photos (architectural and portrait included) as I know you was reticent at first, but I really like them Thanks again for such passionate and inspiring videos 👍👍👍 Comment from : @davidpipeline |

photography is something that i have been into as a hobby but it’s also a hobby i take seriously because of how it makes me feel, but i also have to leon know that our videos have helped me grow and i truly appreciate your advice, thank you Comment from : @Godflakes |

Dear Alex, I really enyoy your channel But there is one thing I want to adress: Your titles have changed and actually hide your good content There are many "requests" and "stops" or "do's" in your titles I would like to read less of these and explore more inside the topic A title like "textures in photography" or "what to learn from artist xy" is so much better as "start using textures to improve your" Best regards Comment from : @neesel |

The 5-4-3-2-1 procedure sounds interesting I will give a try next time out I almost had a moment of vertigo at about the 7:00 mark with your shot of two buildings The inducing was from the lamp pole extending laterally from the right-side building, but I appeared to be mounted vertically as from a sidewalk; an Escher/Relativity moment Great grab Comment from : @johnpollock6996 |
Thank you, Alex, that was really helpful and your own photography is quite something Comment from : @Firefromthenorth |

Mel Robbins' "5-Second Rule" has been helpful; hadn't considered implementing it toward photography, though Usually, I've used it to take action on mundane tasks despite lacking the motivation Comment from : @MasculineMilquetoast |
Lately I've been feeling a bit stuck with my photography, I shoot less, I think more before pressing the shutter, and more critical about the images I take Thank you Alex for this liberating tip! Comment from : @carolinezaramati9193 |

Speaking as an old photographer with bad back and knees Shooting blind - not composing in the viewfinder- is fun again with a "wide" position on the zoom and holding the camera at my waist or knee area or my shoe top Some times off angle or skewed a little is fun, when the photos go into Photoshop for a long creative "bath" LOL Comment from : @lenscap8925 |
This will be hard, but I will give it a try I spend way too much time contemplating the image I wish to achieve Thanks for this Cheers Comment from : @paulmstuart |
Really inspiring,thank you Comment from : @robertwilson4664 |

I've been shooting like this for as long as I've been shooting I've always thought the point was to not have to think too much about it I typically wander and shoot whatever catches me I try to make 'visual sense' of the frame/scene, regardless of what is in it I like a lot of what I shoot, and I enjoy going out with the camera brbrMy next photography challenge will be trying to ignore the insecurity social media has made me feel regarding my photos I'm on my way with that Comment from : @craigskoney1627 |
Thanks Alex , i love it !!! Comment from : @magickkat |
Alex, that was really cool I would really like to know more about the „5 minutes school of photography“ (or what called it) to have some more cards up my sleeve…brI appreciate a lot that you talk about photography itself, about composition and creating images- instead of delivering gear-talk Thanks for that Comment from : @christophholzner1612 |

thought provoking 9,5mins not just technical matters, very informative content Comment from : @johnclay7644 |
