@staticsupressor as someone whos clearly investigated ads would you know how the streamdisplay ads are set up?brspecifically i've run 0 ads for years by refusing affiliate, money is not the goal, but would like to have emotes/predictions etc so maybe will accept 30seconds of ads, but the toggle for streamdisplay ads is simply on or off and doesn't mention if having it turned on would lower the amount of other ads that run or simply add to them

i’ll just do 1 min every 20 min fully disabling pre roll ads so when I start the game they’ll have zero ads & while we’re in the lobby for only a minute or so, they’ll have just 1 min ad…idk I play Cod mainly so each game is 10-15 mayyyybe 20 min if you push it

It's hard, very hard and not easy I run 3mins ads to get 55 so that's 13mins for every 30mins and my viewers always and still complaints XD, If I lower them to please my viewers I get even less each month, I tend to get people/viewers who don't want to sub Last month I got $286 from ads, on the lowest settings, this month I have turned them up to 3mins per hour

Personally, I will only ever run the absolute minimum amount of ads I am capable of running on Twitch Ad Revenue is clearly not worth it overall Secondly 1/3 of the time you spent streaming was purely ads that amounts to $4778 is obscene Instead, focusing on subs, and cultivating viewer interest/loyalty is the clear payoff brbrThe worst part, you lost half your revenue by being insane with ads, which is more evidence that ads are detriment to channel growth and revenue

Thanks for this insight My granddaughter is streaming about 2 hours per day and thinks she will make a complete living from Twitch playing video games (She has NO other income) I worry about her
