Everyone, Han is sooo right about every single thing I thought after the pandemic that I was bad at math and I would never study an engineering or mathematics-related career, but I took some leveling classes to understand the basics before finishing high school, and here I am, studying systems engineering and industrial mathematics

Yeah but this is the weird thing What you're talking about is exactly why I think Asians do very well on tests but do not actually do very well when it comes to intellectual production The Western mind is not capable of learning without understanding or even progressing The end goal for the Asian is the test score did Tesco can be achieved by memorizing the formulas without having any real conceptual understanding of how those formulas work or why they work But the real functionality of true understanding that leads to the production of great intellectual achievements like invention and innovation and Discovery cannot be achieved through rote memorization of formula This is why I think we are in big trouble because honestly I think very often the better you are at testing the worst you actually understand The smarter kids are probably stuck because they didn't understand something and so they gave up I'm trying to even continue acquiring the knowledge needed to do well on the exams So we have a lot of Master test takers in bubble sheet Shaolin monks But when it comes time to actually figure out how you get more joules per coloumb out of specific battery configuration Or how you build some new propulsion device, or some new kind of computational technology that revolutionizes the world they don't have the understanding of the problems and of the formulas and of the science necessary to actually do that They can come up with the correct numbers and quantities But they don't have the qualitative understanding of what those quantities represent and how even theoretically they may be interacting with parts of reality that haven't even been written about yet in the books

honestly, my high school teachers told us that math is just about memorization and plugging in the numbers/formulas Im a person of logic and ended up being an electrical engineer I had to learn a different way on my own time and eventually learned all the math I didn't understand prior

thankyou so much i related to all the points that you mentioned and yes i feel stupid too in classes when most of the people reacted to same thing so diffrently but you video and your personal experience you shared made my fear fade and that feels so good and relaxing the exam anxiety is very low because now im gonna do math for practice and understanding not just memorizing also that thing you said believe in yourself that hit me too that if other human having same brain and resources could do that why cant i i always used to run away from these subjects like mathematics and physics,chemistry because i used to say myself that they are not neccesary for my job because im doing cse why do i have to study this i just want to be a devloper and learn only programming and other than that only subjects that improve vocabulary or communication skills but i was wrong these subjects do matter they give you knowledge, problem soving skills and could improve IQ, other than that they even affect your degree so initial jobs you might even get rejected so why not just face them they become intresting after you give it some time its the staring that is hard after that you get used to it thank you again for not being rude or mocking anyone seeking this kinda help the humbleness in your voice was very soothing it provided comfort that i should not worry i will be ok im a human too and same goes for the geniuses also you have a very attractive personality and you look beautiful

I went to Columbia university for one month and failed calculus there probably because I took it on a level too high instead of a lower grade class first to work my way up One tip is to get a student advisor as I had in undergraduate school at VCU while getting my bachelor of science degree
