I personally like Peter learning it himself Because, it makes him realize that he could have prevented Uncle Ben's death if he had stopped the burglar whom also happened to have killed Uncle Ben Since Peter was using his powers originally to just get fame and hopefully fortune, to me it makes it more meaningful with him learning it himself after his uncle died

One thing you didn't mention was the concept of Noblesse oblige--another iteration of this idea (Though you did, in a round about way because those old quotes were referring to it) The idea that people who have high social rank or wealth should be helpful and generous to people of lower rank

In Golden Age comics, writers had a tendency to editorialize, to try to teach some sort of lesson to give comics legitimacy But as comics evolved, people realized that you don't need a narrator that much, since you can actually see what's going on, and the characters were handed out the duties of exposition and moral stance, which has the added benefit of having more complete and diverse characters, along with more immersive storytelling Uncle Ben for the win!

I think it is better when it comes from Uncle Ben, because it is kind of like doctors, parents or even the bible as you stated Because in life we are given these lessons all through our lives, but we have a tendency to not pay attention until it is too late Which is what happened to Peter, he was given this lesson right before his uncle died, and did not realize the full gravity of it of that lesson, he had the power but didn't use it responsibly and as a result Ben died

The whole idea of a Spider-man, it seems kinda weird if you think about it I mean there are other Animal-man superheroes, but at the time of his creation, I wonder what the thought process for that was?brbrThese days, you say Spiderman and it rolls off the tongue, iconic imagery and all But looking at it, if you had to make a prediction within the context of the time it was thought up, I wouldn't think "That's going to be a hit" But I think it was so because the character is so relatable
