I bought this yesterday, paid $1,550, and could not be happier it is a beautiful coin, and the display box is top tier Comment from : @futurefunds9353 |
Go for the 2014 50th anniversary Kennedy Half-Dollar Gold Proof Cion its price is 124000 Comment from : @MrGman2003 |
congrats! that's one good looking piece of gold! : ) Comment from : @Michael-xm4ux |
Edward, honestly, there is such a high price point on that coin, I have trouble recommending it to people Its a personal choice, and up to the buyer Personally? That is a price that I had no problem paying, but understand again, that this is a bit of a speculative play Comment from : @silverfishVT |
Your Good Judgment prevails Special Thanks for your help I don't promote EBay but Ampex has your new Gold Beauty on EBay for $1850 Would you say that's a fair price? I have my finger on "Commit to buy"
Most Importantly! As a "Kings Kid" Stacker I stack my Good Reputation on you Greatly increasing you income Big time with this Powerful program It was referred to me by a retired Doctor We1me Comment from : @StricklandRealty |
Edward, I opted for the Lunar Series High relief gold coins instead, due to the small mintage (388) The final numbers for the buffalo is in the 50K range I just think that the upside for the High relief lunars is greater, time will tell Comment from : @silverfishVT |
You Snooze & you Loose!
Your YouTubes are #1 in my book, I have watched most of them, but missed this! Now 4 months later, the US mint is sold out of this Gold Beauty! The Vultures on EBay want $2,200 Any way of getting one for $1,800? All the Best Comment from : @StricklandRealty |
Hey SF are you going to end up ordering this coin before it becomes more expensive? It already went up $50 metals are on the rise unfortunately especially silver :( Comment from : @tebanjose |
yo man work on the mint page is that there will be a 4 week window to get one even though they are minted to order I plan on buying at least 1 on the first day Comment from : @lagoveride |
I'm in for one for sure so far I have 3 gold Buffalo bullion coins I have to have this looks like they will kick off at $1640 Comment from : @thecoindog |
i'm looking to buy a PR70 RP Eagle Do you know what they are going for? Comment from : @739gdq |
Lol, Tony, I already bought my first gold I have fallen in love with the 1/10th ounce Perth lunars, and my wife got me the 1/2 gram hummingbird for my birthday This buffalo does look amazing Comment from : @silverfishVT |

Not yet, still on the fence Comment from : @silverfishVT |
Hi SFVT! You've often pointed out the benefits of having semi-numismatic coins as opposed to plain bullion, so I was wondering if you've ever bought proof sets from the mint and if so, how well they've held their value? I'm thinking of getting the 2013 West Point silver eagles but supposedly there's no limit on the mintage so I dunno if they'll hold their numismatic value Comment from : @fountaincap |
I wished I had purchased the ultra high relief gold eagle This just might be the same Comment from : @austrianecoable |
When is the reverse proof supposed to go on sale? or are all the 2013 gold 1 oz buffalos reverse proof? Comment from : @Curb71 |
It's a very nice gold coin but a bit expensive I guess But if you like it you should go for itThe first one always has to be special I like the Krugerrand because it's oldschool and has no face value ,think that's special
Comment from : @assideeq |
The 2013 American Buffalo Gold Proof Coins will go on sale at 12 noon on May 23, 2013 Comment from : @richhertz6086 |
If I had the money for a 1oz'er, i'd go with the Standing Liberty Buffalo is cool because its the home team, but I like the 22k coin for durability Check out ebay - i'm not the only one! But, that being said, the maples are very cool in all sizes Comment from : @upgrader99 |
gold is gold what proof, year, queen, no queen in a nasty scenario it dose not matter how proof is your coin peace brother Comment from : @nickthepirate |
I hate buffalo rounds but thats a nice coin the 200 dollar tax on top of spot is to high for ya boi but fish u ball like dan Marino so cant wait for the unboxing that ur going to do If they make 1/4 ill jump on one, I dig this Comment from : @tefsilver2 |
Nice piece to have and and add to the collection Comment from : @AngelSilverFourtySeven |
I don't expect my exit point to be until the world is a much, much worse place People will be asking in the streets to buy their houses from them Comment from : @Cloxxki |
yeah but I'm not gonna get outa metals completely as long as national currencies and estate taxes still exist, gold and silver are a must have simply to pass on wealth to the next generation Comment from : @HanStanwell |
I agreewhat a beautiful coin I tend to go for smaller more managable buys that are easier to liquidate, but everyone should really buy what they like Comment from : @veritasfiles |
Also, with the 2001 silver dollars selling out at the mint with some 500,000 mintage(?) and demand for that coin being so great that they sell for $150 a piece, I think this coin has some upside potential Although I plan on keeping mine, if the price goes to the moon, I would have no problem saying "I used to have one of those" Comment from : @iliketurdles |
Like you I think I'm going to save hard to try and purchase that coin as well Be an excellent addition/start of a collection for me Maybe a type set of sorts I have both silver commerative dollars from 2001 and really love those coins, and a reverse proof and proof gold buff would look excellent as well! I'm kinda excited for it Comment from : @iliketurdles |
Beautiful to look at, nice to hold, but if you're lookin' to buy some, make it Aussie gold
:-))) Comment from : @gregwilliams852 |
Don't take too long to move on gold It's already at or near bottom from the dead cat bounce post April crash and has the potential to move up fast with more evidence US will be dragged again into Israel's sandbox fightanother war for a broke country I wouldn't get the buffalo because the mintage is open-ended and would go for pandas- they have a great track record of semi-numi & hard to get over time If on a tight budget, go for fractionals and at least be knee deep in gold kiddie pool Comment from : @hOtneO |
The US mint has only made one other gold RP as far as I knowand it has done well enough to justify the premium I like this coin I understand about the Perth HR's I collect the Lunars and the Kangaroos in silverthey are stunning I can't picture them in gold though will have to look for a video Comment from : @pdballerina |
Wow I might need to make this my first ounceif i can every afford it Comment from : @nick540 |
low premium gold that isobviously I violate my own rules when it comes to silver Lol Comment from : @mkmstillstackin |
A very nice looking coin! I say if you like it, get itperiod!me, on the other hand, I'll be sticking to my low premium stuff, but that's the beauty of this community, diversity in thought, taste, and strategy Comment from : @mkmstillstackin |
DON'T DO IT Comment from : @TheEnneagram |
think about howmuch silver you can get for 1700 bucks , also i think thats a steep premium idk i feel like gold is gold Comment from : @retireshinyf3059 |
Look and see what the only RP gold eagle is worthnot a terrible investment Comment from : @pdballerina |
Epic waste of money I wouldn't send two cents to West Point Whether silver or gold, if you're buying 1 oz rounds, you can't beat the Austrian Philharmonic for beauty, value and lack of any offensive imperial propaganda To hell with jingoism Cheers Comment from : @TheEnneagram |
Your video is on the VICTORYREPORT
Comment from : @ONEILL0099 |
My two cents: the mint has never produced a RP Buffalo Even to this short term demand (2013) what can be expected in 10 years? Comment from : @eightnduhcorner0 |
I think you are correct Comment from : @theHDP |
It's not the anniversary addition, but on May 1st, I scored a 1 ounce Proof 2009 Buffalo Gold Coin through GoldenEagleCoin It was $1,62779, with tax and shipping included It was the slimmest premium I could find online
Comment from : @JasonJCarlton |
Way too much premium Comment from : @ByTheGram |
Beautiful Gold Coin, like that one !!
I might do the same :-)
Thanks Comment from : @lowpross11 |
silver really is the gateway drug to gold i went to buy silver ounces today my lcs only had 2 rounds so i bought a tenth ounce of gold Comment from : @sarahnash940 |
I'm here Comment from : @joehervey84 |
A total MUST HAVE for me!! Comment from : @pdballerina |
When all is said and done, I will have a very nice, diverse stack of all four metals I feel like there is plenty of time to buy both silver and gold And, yes, there will be some Platinum and Palladium in there for good measure as well Comment from : @silverfishVT |
The coin will do well in the after market if it is minted for one year only Comment from : @JOConnor100 |
I think it's a great way to dip into gold! Comment from : @vinnycenz18 |
Very nice looking coin Love reverse proofs! I want the silver maple reverse proof 5 coin set! Comment from : @vinnycenz18 |
maaybeee, lol Comment from : @silverfishVT |
I picked up a bunch of 1/4 and 1/10 oz leafs a few years back but would definitely look at buying one of these for a reasonable price Comment from : @Paetaor |
Love it! Comment from : @gorehoundpaul14 |
Understand, that was just an estimate, I really dont know what the price would be Comment from : @silverfishVT |
IMO $250 over spot is a bit high If I were to buy one I would buy 2 and immediately get them graded and sell the highest grade since some people don't want to take the risk but want it for their set If I had the cash to buy 2 I would do it but that's easier said than done for a college student Comment from : @37balla37 |
That is a beautiful coinwhatever route you go, get some gold! I wish I could afford more but I'm getting all I can on this dip (fractionals), and if it keeps dipping I'll keep buying! Comment from : @DaleCooper444 |
The plan is to diversify at some point Comment from : @silverfishVT |
It hasnt been minted yet Comment from : @silverfishVT |
You might want to buy it soon, before the govt adds their premium to the price via the Marketplace Fairness Act (the so-called Internet Sales Tax Bill) Comment from : @JimmyYuma7 |
Great coin You should diversify your metal To gold but also a little platinum like the gorgeous perth platypus The buffalo and the platypus are the best coins IMHO CHeers Comment from : @MacBjorn |
It was published online, here is the link: catalog(DOT)usmintgov/wcsstore/ConsumerDirect/images/catalog/en_US/PMPricingGridpdf Comment from : @silverfishVT |
Was that a personal spreadsheet you were using at the end of the video, or something published online? Comment from : @heavenlyprepper4136 |
I've paid premiums and I'll tell you this, the Smackdown doesn't affect the price Premiums are still there Good to be diversified so that you are not subject to spot price I Comment from : @wafdawg |
Lol! Yeah, if the ratio *ever* got there, I would be swimming in Gold I really dont ever see it going that low, but who knows I think that 30-1 is probably as good as its going to ever get Comment from : @silverfishVT |
that was my original concept also, getting silver now and let the ratio make it nice to swap to gold later Gold of course is more portable also
However, by the silver silver does what we hope, it may actually be time to get out of commodities Time to get into real estate and stock Metals will not advance eternally, there will be an overshoot in silver 3-10 years from now I feel, but after that, best to not be in metals for a while Unless a great new form of money has arrive, buy land! Comment from : @Cloxxki |
Yeah, me too! Comment from : @silverfishVT |
Im sure that the proof is incredible as well Comment from : @silverfishVT |
We will definitely see what the finances allow for Comment from : @silverfishVT |
Agreed, I thought about the same thing People freak out when a five dollar premium is paid on a silver coin, Im curious to see the reactions to a 300 dollar premium, lol Comment from : @silverfishVT |
Lol, that comment has just always stuck with me Is it true? Time will tell Right now, my primary focus is on Silver, as I feel thats its a much better value Comment from : @silverfishVT |
Don't get too attached to premium coins Unless there is reason to think premium will keep climbing at a good rate, it's time to get out If you anticipate higher gold prices, also get out of the premium stuff At $10k gold you won't get 100 premium for even the rarest coins
Sell you premium coins when premium flattens off, and get a new one, at the close to spot entry level Let your stack grow! Others can pay the premiums which you collected Comment from : @Cloxxki |
When I start buying Gold, the majority will certainly be Maples, Eagles, and Krugs, no doubt about it This however, really caught my eye, its certainly not 100 that Im going to buy it, and we really dont know what the premium is going to be yet Comment from : @silverfishVT |
I buy silver to buy gold if silver/gold ratio goes 10:1 we win, and Ima be buyin lotta gold buffalos Comment from : @HanStanwell |
Need I say anything your first gold shouldn't be something that you look at and say I just have to have it, first law of investment It's like going to a car lot and saying to the sales person(chris duame type) I just have to have that car at any price They were selling gold maples today for 6995 over spot Comment from : @rocky315w |
Maybe it looks great in person, but I think the proof would look better than the reverse proof Comment from : @jkrogstad5 |
Yes, that 2009 piece has been a winner, no question Im pretty excited about this coin Comment from : @silverfishVT |
It may well be Comment from : @silverfishVT |
I was surprised when I first saw it, how badly it was calling to me Comment from : @silverfishVT |
It really is gorgeous Comment from : @silverfishVT |
It definitely seems like something to work hard for Comment from : @silverfishVT |
My lifetime goal is still the same, 3K silver and 50 gold, so obviously at some point, Im going to have to mix it up a little I still anticipate that the GSR will shrink, but so far that has been a bad call Comment from : @silverfishVT |
I have an excellent background on US Mint items I bought the 2009 Ultra High Relief Gold Piece from the mint at a price of about $1300 (This was a one year only coin) and now as we speak it is worth about $3000 and yes I still own it and I'm not even thinking about selling I say Thumbs up on buying the Reverse Proof Buffalo especially since it is being minted for the first time The boys are playing with the price of paper silver again today Comment from : @Stokjockey |
Ah, thinking about moving to a real store of value? Congrats Comment from : @herkfsu |
I may join you on purchasing this work of art Comment from : @almanacaa |
silver is definitely the gateway drug to gold
Comment from : @1way448 |
Yeah, putting all this money into silver feels a little risky like putting all of my eggs into one basket, but I don't plan on selling this any time soon, and I've got a feeling that silver will be worth more than $23/oz in the next few decades Cheers! Comment from : @BryanArgent983 |
Thats an amazing coin :) Comment from : @TheM3Silver |
I mean, as long as I have a set limit for myself as to how much I should keep in the bank, I definitely have the control to not go overboard and spend all of what I've saved up over the last 9 months or so, but I have been buying silver about as fast as I've been earning money Thanks again, and I love your videos! Comment from : @BryanArgent983 |
I just wanted to say that I love your videos, but I also almost don't like them in a way, because you're feeding my silver addiction and just about convincing me to buy more! I haven't been spending more than I make on silver quite yet, but I'm almost to that point because of how low silver has been in comparison to several months ago So I was wondering, having several thousand in the bank at the moment, is there such a thing as too much silver in your opinion for someone like me?
