I use to work at Rite Aid and this happen to a female she was crying over the phone saying someone just stole $500 from her from a gift card scam she was telling me that she was gonna use the money to buy food and clothes for her children so I had to call cooperate but they didn't do much for the situation

Another scam is some of these gift cards I received a $25 Instacart gift card from one of my kids as a Christmas gift I registered the card, tried to make a purchase online for less than the balance amount and Instacart would not allow me to finish the purchase unless I give them my personal banking information! I called them to verify if that's the case and they said, that is correct They need my bank account number in order to redeem the gift card! brI've received gift cards by other merchants and have never been asked to supply financial information in order to redeem their gift cards brInstacart gift cards are a scam!!!

This is not the only scam Others will clone the card, get the pin and reapply the acrylic scratch off paint and put the compromised cards back on the shelf As soon as you activate the card, the money is spent
