This trading strategy reminds me of Dollar Cost Averaging - only this is much more effective because you actively accumulate positions only when price goes against you You are turning a negative into a positive - a bit like buying the dip - so to speakbrbrIn this strategy, you either win straight away or you simply get increasingly good opportunities to accumulate at better prices until eventually the market corrects back to your initial position or better - leaving all your accumulated positions in profit It's a great strategy for FX pairs that trade over a consistent range over long periods of time (GBPAUD etc)brAs you mention, small position sizes (in relation to your account size) is imperative I can see why you would get excited when price moves against you and disappointed when you win straight away!brbrMuch cleaner than getting out of a hedge!

This is basically a grid trading strategy, it is used by grid trading bots that will buy and sell as they move through a grid The problem with that is that market will eventually go into a direction for a long period of time and you end up with big drawdowns and no possibility to offset losses Sometimes you can wait months until price reverts

hehehehe i just tried this out on a demo account, went to the random website, made like 50-60 trades probably 90 of the time the trade did not go into drawdown and I made insane profits But those 10 trades that went into drawdown eventually came to my entry So my win rate was actually 100 Ive done this before, but I guess I was trading with too large of a position because I wasnt successful with it in the past Will research this some more
